It's a great park. Nice picnic areas. River access and bike paths. One of the best parts is the wild life. Deer, turkeys, coyotes, and lots of ground squirrels to name a few.

Pretty nice park with a lot of things to do. If you like bike trails, horseback riding, bbq and picnic areas, river access, metal detecting, nature walks, deer and bird watching or just relaxing on the grass then you should check out this park. There is a bridge that connects to Arden ponds on the other side of the river with more of the same amenities.Restrooms: Multiple restrooms and porta Jon's thru the parksDog-friendliness: People have dogs there daily both on and off leash. Most people are respectful about the leash thingPicnic area: Picnic tables and BBQ pits everywhere and drinking fountains with restrooms

A jewel on the American River Parkway. A large natural space with many trails and a lot to explore. Bring binoculars for wildlife viewing. Today we saw a group of bucks and a huge raft of turkeys. There are areas where picnic tables are available, as well as two restroom facilities. Dogs allowed on leash. The bike trail crosses the bridge here. There's also parking for horse trailers. I see something beautiful every time I've visited.Restrooms: 2 facilities in the main parking areas.Dog-friendliness: Dogs love this area!Picnic area: Picnic tables in the main parking areas. And more that can be reserved for special occasions.

Over the years this location has gone downhill. It’s not as nice as it used to be.

Big shade trees, picnic tables, flush toilets, plenty of parking and close to river and bike trail. I park here regularly to jump in the trail.

Took the Whaler up to the Sacramento for a little Striper action with my pal Paloma Paaluke because he knows all the secret spots, and pretty much guarantees you'll catch a fish. After securing lunch from his basket weaver, we were off to the River Bend Park to launch the boat. What a great place to start tour day, the River Bend Park is top notch all the way. We were on fish after a brief 15 minute run, and caught 6 fish with 2 keepers at 24 inches each, and out of the water by noon.

The most popular pickup spot for rafters floating down the American river. I've been coming here at the end of my journeys almost every summer for the last 15 years. I usually don't take photos once I get there but here are a couple of snaps from the last one along the way.

It's got some rocky roads. A bit of everything for all. I tried the bridge today and ran about 3 1/3 miles one way and back with plenty of others also walking, jogging, running, bicycling, etc. Beautiful with a bit of God's creative wildlife crossing my path as the sun rose.
