This place has been the best experience for my son. More growth in one month than two years with IEP resources at our assigned district school. Whether or not your child has a dyslexia diagnosis, but is below grade level performance standards, send them to Read. Reach out to education advocates and/or lawyers. There are ways to afford the tuition. Make it happen for your kid. Literacy is a right and unfortunately the public school system does not guarantee this. Make it happen for your kid.

Just visit... watch the teachers interact with the students in the classroom. They just love these kids- they nurture them. From the first call with Ms. Shelly at the front and tutoring to Leah with her kind words, encouragement, & insight to educationMy kid regained his educational spark and loved it there. Even the pick up lines are run efficiently and with care! Just AmazingGreat for ADHD kids

Our son who has dyslexia was struggling as a fourth grader, to say the least, with Common Core teaching in our local elementary school. Currently as a fifth grader, he is thriving at Read Academy of Sacramento. His confidence is growing not only in reading and writing, but he is also trusting in his learning environment. Our only regret is we didn't enroll our son earlier in Read Academy.

Read has been a game changer for my daughter! She wasn't diagnosed with dyslexia until 8th grade and went in as a freshman. We started with summer school and she asked to stay for the regular school year because she liked it so much. The teachers and staff are wonderful! I highly recommend Read!

I am writing this message to express my sincerest gratitude for all the help and support you have provided to my daughter, Autumn. Your school has been a blessing for her, especially after struggling for so long with dyslexia in a public school.Since Autumn joined your school, she has made incredible progress, both academically and personally. She feels comfortable and happy at your school, and her self-esteem has greatly improved. I cannot thank you enough for the care and attention you have given to my daughter.I am especially grateful to Mrs. Shelley, who has been a great source of inspiration and motivation for Autumn. She adores all her teachers and looks forward to attending school every day.Thank you, Leah, for giving us the opportunity to be a part of your school. We appreciate all the help and support you have given us along the way. Your dedication and commitment to your students' success are truly admirable, and we are grateful for everything you have done for Autumn.

It was very pricey but it made me sooo happy that my dyslexic son finally got to learn in a way that worked for him, I was a little disappointed there was a pe period when the price tag was soooo expensive but my son loooved it— overall if he’s still below grade level in writing next year, which seems likely, we’ll probably do the program again

My son enrolled in READ Academy as soon as it opened, and we could not be happier. He is thriving due to the teachers and staff who support his academic and personal growth. READ Academy provides a nurturing environment where students can grow into empowered and confident learners.

When I pick my daughter up on her first and I asked how did it go? Her response was, "it was so good mom they teach math and I understand it, it made senses." I asked would you want to go back? Her response, "Yes, I am never going back to that other school. Mom I did day dream once I wanted to learn."

Very happy with the curriculum and dyslexic trained teachers. With qualified teachers in all subjects each student has personalized plans with the goal of mainstreaming back to non dyslexic based school. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Brand new private school for dyslexics with a robust curriculum and teachers that really care. The small class sizes are critical for reading instruction and they carry that over to all the classes.

I am so thankful for Read Academy. After moving from Atlanta, where my son was in a OG based dyslexic school I was having a hard time finding a school that stayed current on all the new breakthroughs in DYSLEXIA. Having a child diagnosed "twice exceptional". I needed to find a school where dyslexic based reading skills would know only be taught in reading but continue throughout all the subjects. We also required a school that keep him active in Math, Science. The staff and teachers not only have the continuing education regarding dyslexia but they understand that each student is unique with different abilities. They used evidence-based curriculum and techniques to bring each student to their highest potential. We drive 35-45 mins each way, because it is best school for my student.

The news of this leading-edge school opening in Sacramento is so amazing for the community and long overdue! My niece was finding it challenging to learn at the same pace as other kids, so my sister had to do a lot of her own research to get to the real root of it. The reality is, there wasn't (and usually isn't) appropriate diagnosis or support for children with dyslexia. Moreover, the "one size fits all" system in most state schools doesn't work for everyone. Thankfully READ Academy is now a place where those who learn differently can go, and finally thrive from 3rd - 8th grade + I hear high school as well in the near future! They use an evidence-based curriculum and have truly passionate teachers, which helps students develop both academically & personally to reach their highest potential. You can reach out to schedule a tour now too, they're finally open!
