Rating this hotel is tricky for me, because I actually liked it, but it disappointed me in other ways. The bed, room, space was pretty nice, but it could really use a deep cleaning. The curtains have never been cleaned, and there’s a huge hole in the bathroom door of room 216.
I was also disappointed with the lack of hot breakfast.. the pre-peeled and pre-hardboiled eggs won’t cut it for me.

Close to everything needed for a Sacramento trip. Rooms were clean and cleaned regularly with no issues. No loud residents, but there was some loud car noise at night, which is out of the hotels control but that’s the downtown location. Breakfast was good but limited. Felt pretty safe especially with the gated Entrance and safety is the biggest issue for me. So that makes it a 10/10.
Nearby activities: Lots of events nearby and close to the state capitol.
Walkability: There are lots of restaurants nearby that are amazinggg I recommend Petra Greek! As well as close to all the public transportation as I did not rent a car while I was there. I was able to get where were I needed for those 4 days.

We did 2 nights here and chose it based on location. Walking distance to a weekend long event. Neighborhood during the day is OK but at night is sketchy. This is an open courtyard motor hotel and the noise from the street is excessive. Rooms could use an updating, especially carpet, but the beds, linens and towels are clean and new.
Not recommended for children/families or women staying alone. Breakfast is cereal waffle coffee and yogurt, better than most motor hotels. The trick is price. We save half by staying here instead of the brand name place nearby. You get what you pay for.
Pool on site looked well maintained.
Rooms: Carpets need to be replaced
Safety: Not safe for families
Walkability: Central to everything. Amazing location.
Food & drinks: Great food nearby.

Very old value hotel. I don't know for sure about the area, but I didn't feel safe going off property. The breakfast is minimal coffee, some fruit, yogurt, and a waffle machine. No eggs, meat, potatoes, or pastry. Staff were friendly and polite.

Do not, under any circumstances, stay at this gobsmackingly awful motel. It’s 1:37 a.m. as I write this. I drove 9 hours to come to Sacramento, and all I wanted was a good nights sleep. Well, not tonight. There is a night club a block away and the hoofers sound like the Hounds of Hell barking at my door (I tried pulling the pillows over my ears and it made it worse). I amped up the AC but nothing—NOTHING—blocks the noise. The train is blasting its horn at Denali-high decibels and now two women are yakking outside my yellow urine-stained door. The room is old. The carpet is threadbare. There is mold everywhere. If you like spiders, you’ll enjoy the elevator. Just stay away. Save yourself the misery and run. Run far away from this hell-hole. Your eardrums will thank you.

I got up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, the bathroom floor was all wet, I looked up, and there was a leak from the ceiling, then I noticed black mold growing all behind the door. I could tell by looking at surrounding areas that instead of properly fixing the problem before that, they had just been painting over mold. I then looked around the rest of the room to discover patches of unmatched paint covering up other problems. It's was 2am so I went back to sleep and complained to the front desk in the morning. The front desk was rude and told me I should have just changed my room at 2am and refused a refund. I asked to speak to a manager and there wasn't one available. The front desk took my info and said they'd call me and sort out this problem, it's been a couple weeks and I haven't heard anything from them. So here is my review along with some pictures I took. Unfortunate.
Safety: Not safe to sleep in rooms with black mold all over the walls.

+ Spacious rooms
- A leak from the shower/wall created small puddles outside the bathroom
- Noise from the streets

Checked in and immediately had to leave (family emergency, wasn't even there 5 mins) they told me I'd receive a refund in 5 business days. Of course when I didn't, I call them and instead of refunding me, they charge me a second time and INSIST that their system says I was refunded. That's all. I didn't stay here once and they charged me twice, all the while lying claiming I've been refunded. Extremely odd scam they're trying to run. Had to call my bank and report as fraud. Dont stay here.
