This salon is hit and miss. Some of the employees are nice and others are rude and snarky . They have recently done some upgrades so the place is fairly cute. The real issue here is sanitation . They use the same uncleaned implements on multiple people, they line the pedicure bowls with plastic but aren't properly cleaning the bowls in between clients . The implements should not only be sanitized but stored into sterile packaging and opened in-front of the client . I'm surprised people are getting infections . I will not be returning.

Brought wifey hate for her nails. Guess women are better at judging the pedi and mani people. Since we came she had done nothing but complain about how bad the girl was. The girl didn't take all the dead skin off, didn't take all the cubicles, the girl didn't bother looking for and ingrown. And she even told me one of her cut nails has formed an ingrown. Wifey also said they used cheap gel for her nails and the lady didn't seem competent. Based on what wifey said o would not recommend this place

Have been coming in here for pedicures (gel and color). Clean and professional. I don’t do anything fancy though just solids. They just got brand new massage chairs too! Can’t speak on mani’s because I don’t get them.

Got a full set , got cut like more than 6 different times . My fingers burn the next day from all the cuts. Nails looked nothing like the picture and they were very simple . Asked for coffin and these definitely were not coffin shape . Not usually picky with my nails AT ALL but felt like I needed to leave a review based on the amount of times I got cut. It hurt so much I was scared when she would go back in to file . Then she put super glue over two of the cuts that were bleeding a lot .

Service is Decent, however every time I come here the prices change for the same service, i got charged more for the same service the last 2 times I came and I pointed it out to employee who did my nails last time, and their response was that they “undercharged” me the last times…. of course they didn’t communicate this until after the service was done.Services: Pedicure

Like any woman who loves to be pampered, I don't take my mani, pedis and massages lightly and the experience has to be great!! I was hesitant to try this place based on the reviews about service and some even called it cheap! Heck no! This place is just awesome! Me and my hubby went here for Mani and Pedi and we loved the service here and wow I really love how my nails were done plus the pedi massage was outstanding. We went for OPI four in 1 for both mani and pedi. Love the vibe .. it's full of energy, didn't say any frowns.. Give this place a try! Thanks Mimi, Nancy and Patricia .. you all are awesome! I will be back in three weeks!

If you want good quality service ask for Nancy. She is engaged with her clts, excellent sense of humor, very knowledgeable, does great design, honest and upfront with you, and very appreciative for her customers. I wouldn't change her for the world. Nancy is the only vibe at Modern nails, try her you won't be disappointed.

Been going here since they charged 35$ a set. Inflation has changed prices but they have always been the best quality for what they charge. Most local shops cant/ wont do nail art for less than 60+. Needed short nails for work and got quoted 75$ for this design at Natomas Nails and 55$ at Modern. & All the techs are super sweet.

This business deserves no stars. My fiancé made an appointment for her nails a week in advance for preparation of our wedding. When she arrived at her appointment time, she was told they were booked up and there was no one there to do her nails. My fiancé was devastated. The wedding planning had been stressful enough but to have someone tell you no when she had an appointment was too much. I asked why her nails could not be done and was given a stupid excuse that someone called in sick and there was no one to do the nails when the shop was full of employees doing nails. The lady talking to me was rude, unapologetic and offered no solutions to help us. The nail appointment was for 11:00am, more than enough time to call my fiancé and let her know that her appointment would not be honored. Instead, they let her show up on time and be turned away. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Thank goodness there are many nail salons in the area. I would not recommend this rude failure of a business to anyone.

I love getting my pedicure done here. I absolutely adore Nancy. She takes her time and doesn’t rush, even if the shop is packed she still takes her time. You can tell she really enjoys what she does. She is so sweet and kind and honest. Her service always makes me want to come back and that is why I drive an hour to come see her. I feel so relaxed when getting a pedicure done by her. She is absolutely the best. Nice safe and clean environment. Calm music and the massage chairs are a plus.
