Terrible service. I had an appointment at 1 pm. I show up 10 minutes early, and they tell me the person that was supposed to help me didn't show up. The receptionist then tells me I will be taken cared of by anther agent. She leaves and gets replaced by cranky lady that could not care less that I had been waiting for almost an hour. Then she tells me I am not even on the system. I told her I was irritated by this, and that I was going to leave. I left after they wasted my time. What a joke of place.

It was my first time at this location on Folsom Blvd and 59th St in Sacramento, and The lady Merchelle Gilliam prepared my taxes. We had good laughs, it was enjoyable and easy. At least she made it feel like that.

Merchelle was good. However they don't mention how expensive it will be until the last second. So when I backed out last second, they had a fuss like they are worth $400 an hour. I was polite, front older lady came in trying to make me feel bad for leaving. Cornered me in a little office and made me feel terrible for trying to leave. Felt like I was in an interrogation room. So glad I left that place, manipulation at best. 2 stars because Merchelle did a thorough job.

This was our first time experiencing H&R Block and I had already scheduled mine for next year but based off of these last two days I do NOT feel like a valued customer at this branch.I do Not appreciate the receptionist employee, ruby, letting her receptionist responsibilities lack basic understanding and empathy and accommodation which is a major part of customer service.And I for sure do not appreciate hearing while my partner is trying to address his concern and has every right to be frustrated that he gets hung up on and laughed at before hand by the receptionist Ruby.The lack of organization and professionalism and care by this branch provided an extremely negative and unpleasant demeanor as that was reflected through one receptionist and how she mishandled our frustration. Instead of being empathetic she belittled.And I had to drive in person again this morning 4/19 just to once again attempt to speak to the manager.And my partner and I were in no way were loud off putting or rude to anyone.I’ve never been treated like this or my partner be treated like this by an establishment before so I’m really shocked and disappointed by this experience.This place only gets one star so I can make a review due to the experience she provided.

I came in to ask a quick question, less than five minutes about a form and they denied help. yet they allowed the person in-front of me to get assistance. They told me to go to another location but couldn’t give me any details. they’re so unfair and rude.

I'm gonna need all the help I can get now that I'm a 1099 worker, so I'll definitely be using H&R BLOCK next tax season.
