Been with Golden One for 10+ years. This particular branch either hates me or my employer-or both?
EVERY time I try and deposit my bonus check, they allow some ridiculous small amount to be withdrawn and 95% of the check value has to be placed on a 2 day hold.
The manager is about as nice as an Arizona cactus. Never had any of these issues at other Golden One's. Only THIS one. I am referring to the branch near Sac State....
Update: NOTHING HAS CHANGED!

NEVER adequate number of tellers...excessive standing in line waiting for other customers to conduct lengthy transactions.

It’s the Monday after the 1st of the month. Lots of banking to be done. There’s 18 people in line and counting, and only three tellers. The line was out into the parking lot just before open. 10am is too late to open. Really unfortunate experience. It doesn’t need to be like this. Should open earlier and should have sufficient staffing. This experience is a reflection of poor leadership decisions, not the staff onsite.

Worst experience ever. Walked in and was greeted by an employee who told me to have a seat and someone would be with me shortly. After an hour, the lobby manager came out and explained that I should have used the QR code to check in. ( I guess talking with an employee doesn’t count). She took me up to the counter to help me with my account and still was unable to do so . She then said I needed to make an appointment and come back or next time I need to check in with the QR code and not an employee. I have never had a good experience with any branch that I walked into. I will be finding another bank ASAP.

Golden1 is terrible. Besides rude customer service at the branches their software is buggy. I purchased plane tickets with my Golden1 credit card that had a 0 balance. The purchase appeared to go through. Golden1 sent me a text asking me to confirm the large purchase. I confirmed the purchase thinking the purchase was confirmed. The next day the travel agency said my credit card was denied. I tried to order the tickets again which had gone up $100. The travel agency said it was denied again. I had to call Golden1 directly and asked them to remove the block. Golden1 will not refund me the $100 I lost because of their buggy software. I'm closing my account with them.

690 Credit score is not high enough for Golden 1 for one of their credit cards. Twenty-two years as a member is not enough. A strong salary and strong salary history is not enough for Golden 1. Because they don't like the amount I owe on Student Debt, I have been denied a card twice. Maybe someone should look into the costs of educations these days. I would complain in person to someone, that I have a dying relative, but I can't because everything is done by computer. Also, there are no names, emails or phone numbers by which to contact an individual. There is no personal banker anymore, just your favorite app. Thanks, Golden.CW

I mean it's a bank lol. Only complaint I have is that bankers in their little offices just sat their gossiping while the tellers handled a long line. Another employee comes out from the back and says a customer is being a b**** and the guy in the office was like "you gave her to me?!" Sounding like he didn't wanna do his job. That's why I gave 2 stars. Cause talk crap on your own time not when there's a long line of people. The teller Miranda was awesome tho.
