If you are from the Sacramento area, or have somebody in town that is just visiting, you have to come and visit this place. They have adorable and inclusive gifts from gag gifts to super sentimental things as well. It is really the best place that you can get local things from. I will say that the selection is amazing from local creators. I have found adorable books, candles, stickers and so much more from Strapping. I am so happy that they found their home in the Sacramento area because I cannot go anywhere else and find the quality of local items like I can here.”

“Man this place. It's happiness the moment you walk in. I've been going here since I was a kid in the 90's. Almost 30 years later and I feel like a kid all over again when I visit. Nostalgia and the same fun and quirky merch. The staff is always pretty cool and friendly when you're making a purchase. This past week when I visited made me realize this place needs its flowers for being a staple in old sac and in Sacramento in general. And, of course, the prices are still affordable BUT keep in mind the costumes during Halloween can be pricey but with it!”

“My old review pretty much sums up my feelings about Evangeline's. One of the best shops in Old Sac. and in town! It's nice that the costume section is now open all year long instead of just during the Halloween season like they did in the distant past. It has been a few years since I have been back since my fiancée Joe K. had passed away. We both loved to dress up for Halloween, Sci fi/fantasy conventions and Yelp themed events. We had a lot of commonalities together. At first, I was a bit melancholy about entering the store, but this time, I came here with my sister to look for an outfit that she could wear for her grandchild's "Frozen" themed birthday party. We found a suitable dress that she seemed to like, but she didn't want to try it on first, thinking it was the correct size to fit her. However, it was a disappointment when she finally tried it on at home. First, it looked too big on her. The attached sashes were placed in an unflattering location on the dress, and all the glitter that was glued on, made a huge mess everywhere! Also, the long blonde wig that we had chosen in it's package, turned out to have grey streaks in it! Bad choices on both of our parts! Even though our shopping trip here didn't fulfill what her hopes were, I still have to give this business five stars, because our selections were not their fault. Evangeline's is still one of my favorite places to visit and to reminisce about the happy times Joe K and I shared together. Maybe, someday in the future, I'll have reasons to return and continue with new memories and a renewed enthusiasm...”

“Be sure to visit because they have both hard-to-find almond flavors as well as exclusive covered almonds. For instance: toffee, chocolate, lemon cream, orange cream, jordan, and more. During various months they even have seasonal flavors like hot coco, candy cane, pumpkin spice, and so forth. A must visit!”

“This store is so cute, it has so many nostalgic items in a variety of products. You'll find clothing, trinkets, houseware, accessories and so much more. Most items are from pop culture like Disney, cartoons, Studio Ghibli, comics and other much loved characters.From browsing, a lot of the items are great quality but it all depends on what you're looking for. I love Studio Ghibli and a lot of the Disney items they have and I'm always drawn to the mugs and sweaters. The store is well organized and the staff are friendly and happy to help you if you need it. They also have a website that you can order items for pick up to the store or if you don't find a size you need you can check out the online store.Don't forget to check out their clearance section for some hidden gems at great prices.”

“The Constellation Market is a small retail gift shop located in the Arthouse on R Street that features small batch goods, handmade gifts, and boutique finds with an emphasis on Sacramento-region makers and entrepreneurs.Upon walking into the store, I was immediately taken in by the large mural at the back of the store encouraging shoppers to shop local (always a good sentiment no matter where you go). My eyes were then drawn to the wide variety of merchandise which included beauty products, home decor, jewelry, clothing, and small souvenirs. After perusing their shelves for some time, I decided to purchase several items - some as gifts for myself, while others to gift to friends.I purchased postcards with a map of Sacramento illustrated by Queeny Lu of Traveling Calligrapher, Citrus Mint soy wax candles from Fish & Chip Craft Co., plant stakes that read "Please don't die" (a very relatable feeling for many of us plant parents) created by Mostly Just Tired a local Sacramento maker, and last but not least mini tinted unscented lip balms in peach crafted by loveBBgoods based in Davis, CA. In my little haul alone, I was able to purchase a variety of goods from local artisans, which I think is something truly unique to The Constellation Market.If you're looking to support a local business and local makers, then you definitely need to stop by The Constellation Market - with their wide selection of products, there's certainly something here for everyone.”

“I ordered 3 writing journals and 2 magnets on Friday morning last week, anticipating I'd receive them at some point later this week, per the shipping info. To my surprise, they were delivered in my mailbox the next day with Saturday afternoon's mail drop. I will continually support them as an African American business, not only because of THAT (it's one of the reasons though :-), but I will go out of my way for good, prompt service. “Visions of Eden in Old Sacramento is one of the many souvenir stores there. But they're not the same as the other stores. Visions of Eden carried many items I couldn't find at the other souvenir stores. The store is beautiful! This was the first thing on my mind when I walked into the store. They have a much better way of displaying the items. The souvenirs in Visions of Eden are more attractive than their competitors in Old Sacramento. The workers there are friendly and attentive. I got a nice greeting from two of the employees there. They also politely offered help. The prices are comparable to all the souvenir shops in the tourist district. But I feel more comfortable to shop here.”

“This Great black owned shop in the heart of Oak Park has amazing crystals and stones at excellent prices! The vibes are all kinds of right with stunning plants and decor. There's also tons of holistic care items like incense (they smell soooo good), zodiac gifts, local made jewelry, tarot art and so much more! Display is such a great place to find elevated gifts and more for that Spiritual Homie and maybe a few things for yourself! lol!”

“Small gift shop but has some very nice items with Sacramento and California on them. Bring your shiny penny and two quarters if you like to have a penny souvenir. They range from shot glasses, mugs, cups, coasters, kitchen towels, stickers, jig saw puzzles, tree ornaments, playing cards, post cards, magnets etc. I recommend book marks! I surely would have purchased that in addition to the other souvenirs I bought. Pam was very nice in helping me on the phone to locate them.”
