After decades of owning German vehicles, I have never come across a more honest and talented shop. I have had unfortunate experiences with numerous mechanics over the years as most of us have had. About 6 years ago, German Motors was recommended to me by another shop that couldn't make the necessary repairs to my BMW 750Li. Best referral ever. I wouldn't take my cars any place else now. I have even towed a car from over 100 miles away instead of going to a shop in the Bay Area where I broke down! 10/10 every time I need their services!

I have always had my 2015 VW GTI serviced at my local dealer. As you may know many VW dealers in the Sacramento area have closed. My nearby VW dealer is unreceptive to my wishes on how my vehicle was treated during my most recent service visit. They were rough on my vehicle and would not take responsibility for the damages caused to my vehicle.
This issue was the last straw on my using dealer service departments at least for my older vehicle. I am now using German Motors. The folks there were receptive and were great to work with. I will be using German Motors from now on for maintenance on my pride and joy vehicle. They are affordable and eager to provide service and assist to best service my GTI. This is a shop that I will continue to support due to their service and front office staff. I look forward to a long relationship with German Motors.

I've known Ralph for years and years. He is straightforward, honest, and always takes care of his customers as if they were family. His mindset is also exhibited throughout his staff as well. This is where you go if you want the straight scoop on getting your car sorted properly. Money-saving options can be discussed with the crew and they will help prioritize repairs to help fit your current budget. Please don't misunderstand... I don't mean that they will discount the price, after all, good work isn't cheap, and cheap work isn't necessarily good. They will listen and can make suggestions. Thanks for being available to all the German car fanatics.

This shop is owned by CROOKS! STAY AWAY!!!I was quoted $1k for a valve cover replacement for *****. As soon as the vehicle was delivered, I received a call stating that parts have gone up in price and its now a $1414.00 job (parts going up over $400.00 in a few hours). After a day, I received another call stating they need more parts and the total cost will be $1717.00. Keep in mind that book for this job is about $900.00.I paid the inflated amount and after a few mile the *** was on again with the same code that it went into this shop. Scary to think hoe a more complex issue would get fixed.TAKE HEED AND STAY AWAY!!!

I am very disappointed. This business is also a Cruise America RV rental dealer and provides the maintenance on those vehicles. Everything about this company is five star from the reviews I see, but the RV side of things needs improvement. Both units I used leaked fresh water into the cargo hold. Belts were squealing, lights burned out, and they forgot to give me a hose. Expect to pay the cleaning charge of $200 on top of your rental for any sign of pet hair, crumbs or dirty windows. The thing is, this company is putting out a subpar product and expecting it to come back better than when you took it. We won't return to Cruise America at German Motors as it doesn't appear they do ethical business. They should stick to autos!

German motors is my go to spot. The owner helped me tremendously with trying to figure out what was wrong with my macan in the first place. He found out it was the transfer case. It took me a while to get back to him but when I got the transfer case he replaced it very quickly. Now that I have the car back it feels amazing the transfer case being replaced by him fixed all the problems. I couldnt be happier with their service and pricing.

I had a parking lot mishap in my boyfriend's car while backing out of my parking space. I had body work on the car and they repaired his Audi like new. Later I had a 75,000 mile check on my Audi. They didn't try to sell me new services or other items like the dealer. They showed me the results, told me how long I could go without the work and no pressure. Love these guys. Great service and friendly happy people! Doesn't get better.

My 2014 X1 suddenly died on the freeway at 10:30 at night. I live really far away and towing it all the way home just sounded like a silly idea. Opened up Yelp and found this place was only a mile and a half away. I had it towed there and dropped my key in the dropbox. Called them first thing in the morning and they were great. The first day I feel like was kind of wasted (they spent the day trying to charge my battery apparently), but they had my car fixed and back to me by the second afternoon. It's the first time I've had to have any kind of an emergency repair on any of my BMWs, so yeah it was expensive, but not really sure how that could be avoided. Steve was fantastic and worked with me on the price a little bit. I was just glad to have my car back. Would recommend and will return for any future issues. Thanks for getting my car back to me so quickly, you guys!

Shop has been around for a long time and have serviced multiple cars here ever since my very first car, the people are all super nice and welcoming and flexible and the prices are great especially considering they are very open about recommendations and advice. Love them!

I have a 2008 BMW X5. One day it wouldn't start. I had it towed to German Motors. Shortly after they received my vehicle, I received a call. They diagnosed the problem (it was the starter). The staff was so friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced. They did their due diligence to get to the root of the problem and not just give me the run around of what the problem could be. As long as I have a BMW, they will be my go to spot.
