The level of service and support at this company has dropped so far that I would advice to AVOID THIS COMPANY. They don't seem to have the ability and skill to provide professional and competent service.

The service level at this company has dropped far below exeptible levels since the owner passed away. I cannot recommend this compnay to anyone. Infortunaly their service and professionalism is subpar.

I was extremely happy with their service. Very professional and fast. They may not be the cheapest, but often you get what you pay for! It's the little things that make the difference. The completed tax file came direct to my door. Pre-addressed envelopes, already stamped, and paper clipped to the forms I needed to send in to the IRS made it simple and convenient. I'll work with Craig and his team again!

I have used Fechter and Co for many years to handle my taxes. I have found them to be reasonable, professional, and honest. Craig has been very helpful and responsive to all of my questions and concerns. Even after I moved out of Sacramento, I continued to work with him. If anyone I know needs a good CPA, I send them his way.

I will not recommend their service to anyone. We had booked a month in advance for a consultation. They rescheduled twice at the last moment - did not bother to notify me in advance. That, I can forgive. But, the third time around, they randomly decided to cancel the scheduled consultation. And, surprise - did NOT bother to notify me about it. I called 2 hrs before the appointment time just to confirm the time and I was told that they are not willing to see me because they are busy right now. Did they give a thought that as a working professional, I too have a busy schedule and that if they had intended to cancel my appointment, I would at least like to get a reasonable heads-up about it? This establishment lacks the basic courtesy to respect and value the time of others.

I am a friend of someone who called into Fechter and Company.Craig who is the CPA at the firm discriminated against my friend based on her status as a transgender female. She called him and she have a basic straight forward case. She has a w2. Craig proceeded to ask her questions about her gender like "Are you a dude???" and then said "You are a male with a female voice???". "I don't believe you, you have a male voice but a female name, you are a scammer. and said I'm not going to do your taxes." My friend said "I didn't do anything wrong." and Craig proceeded to say " no you didn't do anything wrong but you have a male voice with a female name and I'm not going to take on your case." And then hung up the phone. This was a consultation which is where they are learning about your taxes. Before any tax details were shared he made these statements. He had no basis for this horrible treatment. There is a recording of the event this is horrible discrimination

I worked with Lamar. If you are a regional center vendor, these guys are worth a call. I found Lamar professional, fair, straight-forward yet down-to-earth and somebody you can work with. Pricing decent compared to others i have contacted or worked with.
I like Lamar, one of the partners there.

Have been using Fechter & Co for years 10+. Always professional, exceptional service. Follow up is amazing. The best thing about tax time is Craig and his awesome team. Plus, you get to chat with Esther at least once a year.
