We’ve been coming here for years for the R&R Network conferences, and we thought the hotel was decent, but this year, it’s HORRIBLE! Front desk was rude and overwhelmed with the amount of people staying here. My room was paid for by my employer, and they still charged me $415.92 WTH! I requested to speak with a manager and there was no-one available to help me! Rooms are old, customer service is not trained properly to manage a large amount of guests!

Here for a weekend event. Picked a room, went to check in and the room we picked was unavailable (we picked it for a specific reason), then the key cards for the new room wouldn't work so had to leave all my stuff in the hall and go across the property to get them reflashed, pool and spa that were advertised were closed and they didn't tell us that upon booking, hallway was hot, room was hot so we set it to the lowest setting it could go and after several hours it was still too hot to deal with and we had to open the balcony which let in cool air but also nonstop noice from the freeway. For the price that the room cost you the parking should be FREE with the room but it's not. Building just feels old and outdated. I can't see how Hilton could put their name on this place! Never again!

All of the company's directors have been staying at the Hilton chain for years, but this last time the experience was not the best. The room was very dark and looked old, and the cleanliness was not the best. The service and restaurant were good, but not excellent. It was not a good experience to stay at the Double Tree Hilton Hotel Sacramento.

Our stay at this Doubletree in September was fine but the customer service afterwards was terrible. The hotel charged us for breakfast when the room rate I paid already included breakfast. Mistakes happen. This was a simple folio issue I saw that should have been resolved quickly. What kind of hotel is unable to remove an erroneous charge? That would be this Doubletree in Sac. After several weeks of phone calls and messages left, in particular to manager Yash Kumar and controller Virginia Hunter, I still have no resolution to what should have been a very simple fix. If you stay here, do not expect good customer service and make sure they get your folio right to begin with.

I don't normally leave reviews but after spending $3000 for 4 night stay...
The room was disgusting, they never once cleaned the room and when I asked for it to be cleaned they just pulled the sheets up , they were so filthy from being at the festival for 4 days and empty the garbage. I had to ask for toilet paper at the front desk . The pool was being renovated and they didn't let us know . Coming all the way from Canada to California the pool is a must !
I ordered food at their restaurant and bar. The waitress then ignored me, I asked her where my food was for 2 hrs, chasing her around just to get a beer. I ended up going to another waitress to ask, she then gave me a tuna poke bowl that was in the fridge for 3 hrs , and begged the kitchen to make my friends grill cheese because they closed.
I asked them about extending our stay and they wanted to charge me $220+USD a night . I told them it's not that much on their website and they said I could cancel my room and book another to get a cheaper rate . They then chuckled when I caught them trying ro rip me off.
I went to a new hotel down the road with free breakfast , clean room and a pool for 100USD .. I feel so ripped off ..

*On Thursday or Friday the Front desk guy Rashid or something refused to give 2 cookies. Started telling us policy.
However, this is the only reason I stay at Doubletree for the yummy cookies for me & the kids. I was staying 5 nights.
*Pool was broken
*Had to ask for towels & room service 4x like it was a privilege.
Will not be booking next stay.
Nearby activities: The Ride & Share is close.

I don't typically leave reviews unless something egregious or extraordinary happens. Attempts to check in were delayed for AFTERSHOCK attendees on 10/10/2024. Told to check in after the night's events. People attempting multiple times and being told that housekeeping has not cleaned the rooms. After the festival's conclusion of the day, they were checking people out at 11:00PM. The place has been aware of reservations for a year, as well as staff leaving FECES on the beds and saying they were cleaned, overselling rooms, staff walking out, insufficient staffing, and not cleaning rooms until well after midnight. The only decent rating is the location because the mall and other direct access.
The UPCHARGE OF $3000 FOR 4 NIGHTS ON 2 DOUBLE QUEEN ROOMS when staffing is as ridiculous as it is, this place should be shining clean, sufficiently staffed, and very nominal issues.

Around 5am on the morning I was checking out I saw the largest cockroach I have ever seen in my life. So large it looked like it might fly. I have never had a pest issue before not even in a motel 6. There were other things that were less than ideal like the pool being drained the entire stay and small sections of the lower part of the shower being visibly less clean than the rest. Also some staining on the bedding. If you're on the fence about this place go with your other option.

Room size was great but our AC was broken. Maintenance wasn’t able to fix. Choices were too hot or too cold. Didn’t want to move rooms as we had already unpacked.

• Room and bed – both big and comfortable. Shower wasn’t great
• Swimming pool was freezing cold and uncomfortable to swim, which was really disappointing
• Not enough chairs and towels in the pool area
• They only accept cash at the bar and restaurant
• The hot tub was a cesspool and seem to have been like that for a while. I don’t understand why they don’t fix it, reviews here reported it a year ago. Maybe they don’t want a working hot tub to save on expenses, but they get value out of the marketing

Stayed at the hotel for a conference. Unless you are forced to stay for a conference, stay anywhere else you can! And if you are forced to stay here - beware! This place needs to be entirely refurbished, and needs new management.
This is a dilapidated property that is falling apart at the seams. For starters:
- jacuzzi not just broken, and in disrepair for perhaps months. Algae growing at the bottom of it!
- mold spots in the shower
- dated furnishings and bathrooms
- not enough chairs by the pool, or water, or maintenance, towels infrequently replenished.
- no A/C in gym, wifi nor tv works in gym
- no a/c in the hallways
- no room cleaning service despite requests, during a three night stay! Told to put dirty towels and trash in the hallway!
- phone in room not working, so had to call front from cell phone
- keys often not opening doors (just stop working)
- no or little or broken security for the hallways & elevators
- food provided was tasteless
- later fixed, but cash only accepted at bar & restaurant during first 24 hours of stay
- dark parking lots and outdoor areas
- veranda cement is cracked
- amenities in room are sparse (not enough cups, coffee pods, creamer, etc)
The service has been atrocious except for Yash at the front desk. His pleasant demeanor at check in masked what was in store for us. Service was on a scale from unprofessional to surly.

Had a fantastic stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Sacramento! The staff was welcoming, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the warm cookies at check-in were a great touch. Convenient location with easy access to downtown.

Extremely terrible layout spread out in such a way that the rooms are a quarter mile from the lobby through unconditioned windowed hallways. No minbar or bottled water in the room. No vending machine in the whole wing. Adds insult to injury.
Similar complaint to the area. Everything is needlessly spread out.

Like another recent reviewer, I was here for a conference. The Hilton name doesn't mean much anymore. The very poor experience started when calling ahead to get info that's not on their website and no one answers the phone! Restaurant closed at 8, Fri & sat instead of 10 as posted on website- this when lots of people here for a conference starting that afternoon that need a meal. Bar serves late but took over 90 minutes to get our food- 1 person working a very large bar area, although wasn't that busy. And they allow children in the bar when food is served. Was only a problem when a large group with about 10 kids came in and let their kids run and shout freely like it was chuck e cheeses. I love kids but despise parents who do not consider others. And Saturday night we went to the bar after our conference ended, and at 10:30 with the bar full of us and another group that was there for a different conference, they called last call and kicked us out. I can't believe they wouldn't have wanted to make some profit. Uncooled hallways, un-lit hallways, bad smells, not enough staff, lousy food (when we finally did get it), lots of freeway noise, hard cardboard beds. I don't find the rooms that outdated like others have said, but the TV reception is awful. An engineer came up to swap something out, and it worked great the first night, and now it just cuts in and out. Refrigerator had some very bad looking black mold in one corner, although it is one of the rectangular ones not a small cube one. And the shower curtain smelled like death even though it looked clean. Pool is closed and under renovation, which we were not informed of before we arrived. We were looking forward to using the pool. You might want to tell people these things when they book. Just lots of problems at this property, stay elsewhere. I really wish that the group who books this conference finds a different place for us next year, If not, I likely won't attend unless the reviews for this hotel get a lot better over the next year.
Rooms: Bad clumpy black mold in the back corner of the refrigerator, and the shower curtain smelled disgusting although it looked clean. Spacious bedroom, bathroom. Extra lighted vanity outside bathroom and largest closet I've ever seen in a hotel. Beds very uncomfortable. I like a firm mattress, but this one has no give, like sleeping on cardboard.
Nearby activities: Mall across street with lots of eateries - eat there, not here.
Safety: Parking lot has arms to gate it, but they're left up. Questionable people in parking lot. Had a guy push me into the hotel from outside insisting he was staying there. You need a key to get in, as he was entering with me, I asked him where his key was and he argued with me. I called security. Turns out he was in the next room, which was worrisome, but he did not cause more problems. Just know the security is very lacking. Hotel responded quickly, but there are no actual security people working here.
