Chevron closed my account due to inactivity after 33 years of loyal service. I got the notice from Equifax. The result will be my credit card age will go down resulting in lower credit score. I called to have them reopen it and they said sorry cannot do that.I’m really disappointed in Chevron. With the aging population we don’t get gas as often.

This is the worst place of business. They have a public restroom for their customers. Because I am a white female, they refuse to allow me to relieve myself. Therefore forcing me to conduct my business elsewhere. I believe the owner needs ethical training and it should be mandatory. There is no reason why I should be singled out and not allowed to use the restroom. I know other people who have experienced the same issues with the same place of business. It is discrimination at its finest.

Went to chevron this morning for gas and beer. The black girl with red hair was so rude, asked for my ID. I passed it to her, then put it away. I'm 63 years old. She then wants me to take it out. I have Never had a bad experience at Chevron before ever! Don't go to the Chevron on Richards Blvd unless you want horrible customer service!

refused to take 2 credit cards for payment. Claiming the machine wouldn't allow it. I know the cheap fellow just didn't want 2 credit card charges despite the fact that I was in dire straits. Way to help someone when their down

I visit the Chevron station at 5500 Telegraph Ave. in Oakland, CA on a regular basis. What I have noticed lately is that the manager which I believe is Ethiopian has hired only Ethiopians at this station. My problem with that is, that they don't speak good English and when they are asked a question, they don't seem to understand what you are asking them. I have been going to this station for years and the customer service has really declined. The manager should hire all nationalities not just her own.

1 star prices = 1 star review. Gas is always 30-40 cents more per gallon than the average gas prices. It's quite ridiculous here. Do yourself a favor and find another gas station besides this one. This is the most expensive gas station in midtown. Literally if you go anywhere else to fill your gas you will be saving money. Save dat money people.

I give major props to this Chevron. That's unusual because I would rarely rate a Chevron above average because, well, it's a massive corporate gas chain with very little remarkable enough to distinguish one location from another. But the employees here are great and go above and beyond the call of duty. Anyone should laud that kind of service in this day and age. Chevron never has the cheapest prices, but I come here much more frequently now that I know they accept Safeway Club cards. With a Safeway down the street that I frequent, it's not uncommon for me to get 20 cents off per gallon here. But what really made me happy was when I came in on a hot day with my son in the back seat. he was asleep and I didn't want to wake him, so I popped in to grab a soda hoping it was quick. Turns out the line was epic. Bad timing I suppose. While worriedly looking out at my son sleeping (with the windows down, some extreme heat outside and some shady characters about), buying a drink looked less and less likely. Fortunately the clerk, who somehow read my mind, told those ahead of me that I'm in a hurry and ushered me up to the front of the line. I thanked him profusely. He even made sure to give back $5 I overpaid. What a guy! I was back on the road, thirst-quenched and baby safe, and I'll be happy to return many times again!

overpriced gas, not helpful customer service, dirty. Go to arco just up the street or find another chevron. Also, monitor your prompts, the machines are faulty and attendant wont help.

This is about smog test only. First the good news: there's a coupon on the back of your receipt from Safeway that brings the test , including the emailing to DMV, down to $38.24. You need to have the receipt with you and give it to the technician . Second good news: everyone here is perfectly pleasant. The less than good is that their smog testing system seems pretty bumpy. I made an appointment on Thursday afternoon to have my smog test on Friday morning at 9:15. The technician arrived at 9:35. Meanwhile the nice woman at the desk found a folding chair so that I could sit in the aisle of the convenience store while waiting. I observed a number of cheerful customers. Once begun, the test took only about 15 minutes and my car passed. (Yay.) When I got home I realized that the nice woman at the desk had handed me their receipt materials but had not returned the DMV form to me. I'll have to drive back to get it.(But as long as I'm back on that side of town, I'll use this as and the successful smog test an excuse to take myself to One Speed for lunch.. Yum.)

Always the highest priced gas in the area, perhaps in the entire Sacramento region. ARCO is 1 block away at 28th & J with way better prices and store. This place always has homeless people hanging around it and often has broken stuff such as lights and metal covers. Pretty dumpy overall. Also, the tiny store leaves much to be desired.

My car lost power on the freeway so I pulled in and spoke with Jas the owner. Very kind man. Took a look and helped me out. Turned out to be a fluke, so he sent me away with a smile. I'll be recommending his shop to my friends in midtown, and make a point to fill up on gas there when I'm in the area. His kindness doesn't go unnoticed!

The guys who work here are super nice, it's usually not very busy because it's a bit off the beaten path, and yay car wash. One star off because the car wash breaks a lot and you have to pay inside so you have to park, get out of your car, pay for the wash, get back in the car, and then pull around. Still, I don't hate stopping by for a Red Bull and a wash.

I only gave this five stars because it is a gas station and I feel like you'd only give it a yea or nay (i.e. 5 or 1 star(s)). This is your standard gas station, but too bad they don't have a car wash otherwise they'd get even more of my money each time. They are conveniently located right by all the hospitals in midtown right off the freeway.

Expensive gas, it was $0.45 more than gas that I got later in the day in Elk Grove. I guess the convenient location is why they can charge the premium, i.e. after I get my cupcake fill from just down the street then this place is convenient.

Stopped for a quick fill up on the way to my nephew's baseball game. It was a little higher priced than other gas stations I drove by, but I wasn't going to waste more gas just to find someplace about 10-20 cents cheaper. So for that, they are A-OK.
