It’s rare that you get to meet someone who is truly a master at what they do. Carole’s work is worth absolutely every penny. Usually I’m a frugal person, but I had fallen in love with a dress that had extraordinary beadwork on it, and I’m glad Carole didn’t throw me out the first day. She literally spent 8.5 hours on *just* the beading, which she matched perfectly and seamlessly with the rest of the dress. It’s absolutely dazzling.
She’s been doing wedding dresses for decades, and has the talent and taste to create anything and everything from scratch. She probably has the exact fabric to recreate your dress from top to bottom already in her shop.
She fit the dress to me like a glove, with precision and artistry. She also hemmed it, added a bustle, made a super helpful video to guide my maid of honor, and gave me helpful hints about styling.
She’s also an absolute pleasure to work with, reliable, and over-delivers. There are so many things that you can stress about when it comes to weddings, do yourself a favor and solve this one with some extra money.

Carole is the definition of THE BEST. I highly recommend Carole Kenney Design to any bride-to-be looking for one-of-a-kind, beautifully crafted, perfectly fitted wedding gown alterations. The quality of work CKD provides is nothing short of exceptional.
I cannot express enough gratitude for the custom wedding gown Carole created. I felt like a princess, and I received countless compliments on how stunning and unique my gown was.
From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. First, Carole took the time to understand my vision and style preferences, ensuring every detail was perfectly tailored to reflect my personality. We worked together from the initial sketch all the way through the final fitting.
I have a large cup size, and one of my initial concerns was finding a design that included cleavage but minimized my cup size. Carole knew exactly how to craft my bodice to do that and put my concern at ease from our first meeting.
I had a vision for a dress with a low back, which can be difficult with such a large cup size. Carole knew exactly how to craft the straps and back of the dress to give me the look I was going for, but also provide comfort and support.
I could go on and on about all the amazing details, from finding the perfect fabrics to layer to make the back of my dress look like my skin tone, to sewing in a zipper that is invisible and works perfectly, to crafting a beautiful bustle that accounted for the fact that I was changing shoes from heals to sneakers after the ceremony.
Another amazing detail Carole added was beading from my grandmother’s wedding gown to the back of my dress! Her years of experience have given her the perfect eye for detail, knowing exactly where to place the beading to make it fit with the design of the dress.
Beyond the gown itself, working with Carole Kenney Design was an absolute pleasure. The entire operation is professional, responsive, and incredibly accommodating throughout the entire process. She made me feel at ease, taking the stress out of finding the perfect dress.

Carole was a dream to work with! I would definitely recommend her to any bride looking to get alterations done, big or small. I had minor fixes needed on my dress, but she has an eye for perfection and was able to make my dress look and fit better than I could have imagined. Specifically, the ribbing on my corset needed re-working - but this was no issue for Carole. She made me feel cinched and beautiful! Very kind lady to work with as well. If you can get Carole to work on your dress, you are in the most capable hands!

I cannot recommend Carole enough! She was amazing, she accommodated my hectic schedule (getting married soon so lots of appointments I was juggling). She is so friendly but on top of that does amazing work. My wedding dress had to be altered quite a bit due to being curvy. The dress fits like a glove, looks amazing and looks the designer made it for me- but it was all of Caroles work! I had 3 different fittings throughout the process, and each time she explained what she as doing, why she was doing it- but also took into consideration what I was comfortable with as well. I also highly recommend the ball gown bustle it is so beautiful. 10/10 would recommend!! If you need any type of alteration I would 100% trust Carole!

I was recommended Ms. Kenney by a friend who had gotten her wedding dress altered by her. Ms. Kenney was amazing! She was very professional and laid out all the proposed alterations as well as time and cost estimates in a transparent and easy to understand manner. I loved working with her and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a seamstress. My wedding dress came out beautifully. Her costs are higher than you might find at a bridal boutique but they are definitely worth it. She was able to make the dress fit my body type and the final product was very flattering on me. Her work was impeccable and I felt very comfortable with her!

Carole did such a wonderful job with alterations on my wedding dress! I bought my dress at Brides for a Cause and they recommended Carole Kenney Design. She was incredibly professional and made me feel comfortable with the whole process. At my request, she took off the long train and hemmed the dress to be all floor length. She also fit the lace bodice and delicate buttons to better suit me. The dress fit perfectly and was an absolute dream to wear on my wedding day. She did an impeccable job and kept to her word on the quote range and our scheduled appointments. Thank you, Carole!

Carole is INCREDIBLE! I brought my dress to be shortened and add a bustle to it and she did a PERFECT job! She was so sweet and took the time to make sure the length matched the height of my boot. She also made sure to explain to my mom and my friend how the bustle worked. The bustle was very discreet and flattering! I had the most amazing time dancing the night away in an extremely comfortable dress!

If you are a bride you know how stressful finding the perfect dress! I found my perfect dress at a very popular bridal shop in Sacramento and after being recommended a size WAY to big for me. I was left with a not so perfect fitting dress! I was so nervous to go anywhere to take my dress but after reading hundreds of reviews I found Carole. I reached out to Carole in May 2023 and my wedding was in September 2023 (now that was on me cause I procrastinated). At our first she was very upfront about everything, the work, time, and COST it will take to make my dress fit perfect. Carole is an angel and made my dress fit like a glove. From our very first meeting, Carole was very kind and upfront about what work my dress needed, most importantly the cost. I went to a few other alteration places around the Sacramento area and in terms of cost she was on the higher end of the list. But Carole was worth every penny. Her work was impeccable and made me feel like my dress was specifically made for me. The fit was perfect and hugged my body in the most flattering ways I could ever imagine. Carole is nothing short of a miracle worker! I originally purchased a dress but as my wedding vision started to change, I no longer loved my choice. Carole spent time helping me try to find ways to make changes so that it might work better for me. In the end, I decide a new dress would be the best option but I was quickly running out of time. Luckily, I was able to find a sample dress that needed some love and attention. Not only did she help me make it fit like a glove, but she helped advise me on where to get it cleaned to make it look brand new! Carole was patient and professional.
