Kids enjoy reading the signs that talk about the animals and history. New kids play area is great too.
Playground: Natural logs, rock and stuff for kids to play on. I like that there isn'ta bunch of plastic.
Picnic area: Nice tables in the courtyard. Very shaded with big trees.

It is a beautiful place to hold a wedding! It's very spacious and accommodating! There are a lot of pretty places to take pictures! It is also one of the more affordable places to host a wedding. I was between Camp Pollock and a Winery that was very affordable, but wouldn't let us bring our own alcohol.
The manager, Amy, was very responsive and helpful when I asked questions.
It's between 2,500-4,500 for 12 hours, depending on what you want and how much room you need (courtyard / lodge). Which hourly, is pretty high.
However, the outside was very dirty and unkept when we arrived. Trash on the ground, the garbage bins were full, multiple homeless walking through, a dog walked into the lodge during the wedding and there was bird poop on the benches/tables. We spent a lot of time blowing leaves and scrubbing bird poop before wedding setup. Also, the string lights on the outside are an extra cost of $175 to plug in, which is just ridiculous; Im sure the homeless are plugging them in every night. 10 tables were supposed to be provided and there were only 8 tables. We had to go buy two more tables from costco, the day of our wedding. The girls bathroom toilet also clogged up during the wedding. The outlets in the girls bathroom didn't work, so none of us could touch up our curls.
It would have 5 stars if the outside was more maintained and we didn't have missing tables, random dogs walking into the lodge and multiple homeless roaming the grounds.

I've been there 2 times in the past 2 or so years. Aggressive stray dogs both times. 2 dogs the first time a couple years ago. Same single white Sheppard mix today. Nice place but aggressive dogs are no fun with your kids or pets. Last time I was told the dogs belong to homeless folks but it's the same well cared for dog with tags. I believe it lives threre?? Belongs to staff maybe?? Kind of weird the same dog would be there for years. Otherwise it's an awesome small park.

I did not care too much about the camp area; it was hot and there weren't any trees to utilize for shade but it was a motorcycle event which my friend is involved with and it was great!! I saw tons of beautiful motorcycles ? and beautiful established black people. Everyone was friendly and welcoming and the DJ played the best music ? ?..." loved it "!!
Toilets: Indoor facilities
Picnic area: Very vast area but no shade and the grass was dry & dead. It was nit pleasing to the eyes.

Picnic area: Tiene varias mesas con bancas en la parte exterior. Y en la parte superior también. Y en el salón pude decorar y poner mesas deacuerdo a sus necesidades .

Overall, it was a very nice facility. The lodge is well maintained. The peacocks are fun to look at it, they are all over the place. The grounds need a little attention, but it may just be coming into spring and that they haven't started the winter clean up yet.
The only thing that I am not a fan of is the drive in, there are homeless people living in the wooded area out in front.

The place was pretty clean. But it needs some work. We need a river clean-up day there. :)
