“I had a very positive online shopping experience -- found an out-of-print exhibition catalogue in great used condition for a reasonable price. The book shipped quickly, with care and with a lovely note. A tip/note for international buyers: this bookstore doesn't ship outside the US, so I used a third party rerouting service, which drove up the cost significantly.”

“I always find what I am searching for and discover other interesting finds. This visit I found sheet music! I was pleasantly surprised. So besides Camus, I went home with books of Chopin, Mozart and Bach.”

“Just sharing my thoughts, I have lived in the Sacramento area for my whole life, and I have known Sabrina and her family for quite some time, I was their neighbor for many years, when I found out that she was opening up a bookstore at the corner of our street I was just so excited, although I don’t go as much as I used to, I still love the place, I stop by whenever I get the chance, it’s a nice and cozy little spot, I go whenever I feel weird and just want to relax, it’s a great place with such an amazing owner.

Sincerely,
your friend, Jaxon”

“I love this shop so much! I had my wedding in Sacramento and had an interesting request for Wild Sisters - could they do a pop-up bookshop at my wedding? Luckily, they were willing and able to and working with Claire and Noelle was a breeze. I made suggestions for the types of books I wanted to giveaway to guests and they sourced them, delivered them and staff were onsite at my wedding to setup a pop-up bookshop. They even created custom bookmarks for our wedding to giveaway! I was floored at how organized, knowledgeable and organized they were and their shop has the same feel. If you're looking for a unique, pop-up element for your event or even if you just want to browse their store, I highly recommend Wild Sisters!”

“A group of friends came in right after me and immediately sat on the couch, talking about how much they love this place and how often they come here- it's clear to see the impact this place has on the community. Extremely sweet and kind staff, gorgeous book shelves/displays, cozy reading environment and a gift shop section (features handmade goods)! I'm a Sacramento native but I can't believe this was my first time coming here. This is without a doubt where I want to put all of my book money from now on :)”

“Such a cute local bookstore! The store is so cozy, packed to the brim with diverse books without it feeling cluttered. The staff are all so kind and helpful as well! I'm so, so happy I found this bookstore!”

“This bookstore is a favorite in Sacramento, and personally, a second home for me. Staff are really knowledgeable, their passion is books. Each staff member, and of course Peter Keat the owner, has worked at this neighborhood bookstore for at least ten years, and up to twenty. If you have a title and an author they will find it! New and used, books of many genres, come take a look at midtown's wonderful independent bookstore.”

“This is a great community resource, and the inventory of books is huge! Volunteer staff is helpful. Hours are a little limited, but it's well worth a visit, both to donate books and magazines and to purchase.”

“The little store is so cute!!! They have a nice selection of figures and keychains from different anime’s, which is really great! Well worth driving 40 minutes to!!! The Miku figure I got was so pretty I’m in love!!!! If they had other vocaloid figures other than Miku I’d totally get some!! Definitely coming back here again! <3”

“Needed some gifts for Easter. Found them here. They have an extensive array of any items needed for the practicing Catholic. Staff is extremely helpful in finding the items you are looking for. The also have a good reading section on various encyclicals, church history, missals and Catholic Bibles. All are reasonably priced.”

“Found a copy of Orion Magazine here, which I've been seeking for months! I was sure I was going to need to buy a subscription. I'm grateful that these kinds of shops are still around”

“Mother Goose is currently closed due to a fire in their building (smoke damage) with no estimate on when they will reopen. This is such a bummer as this is our favorite spot for unique children's toys. The owner is so sweet and friendly. I hope the entire complex is up on their feet soon”

“Stopped by the new place, it's beautiful. I was happy to see the same level of services in a new, easy to access location. The teas and books were both abundant. I was able to get everything I needed!”

“This Barnes and Noble is located inside a mall, however it is only accessible through the exterior/outside entrance.

It is a nice enough spot. Just make sure you've got comfortable shoes if you visit, because you will have to read while standing since there are no chairs inside the store.”

“Small gift shop but has some very nice items with Sacramento and California on them. Bring your shiny penny and two quarters if you like to have a penny souvenir. They range from shot glasses, mugs, cups, coasters, kitchen towels, stickers, jig saw puzzles, tree ornaments, playing cards, post cards, magnets etc. I recommend book marks! I surely would have purchased that in addition to the other souvenirs I bought. Pam was very nice in helping me on the phone to locate them.”

“Great clean store and has a lot more authentic Russian home goods than most stores (even in West Los Angeles... the Mecca of Russia culture in Cali) Very clean, practices mask covering.”

“It has everything you need and then some. This place can get pricey so be prepared to pay $35 for a t-shirt. You'll find good deals like the .50 cent coffee. The staff is always nice so that's a plus.”

“I personally enjoyed buying stuff from here. I highly highly recommend that if you are going to buy books from here that you sign up for the school’s program EOPS to help you throughout the school year with a bunch of things like classes, book assistance, supplies, and more. Other than that picking up the books were easy and confirmation of pick up only took less than a day to a day through email.”

“Ordered for curbside and it was fast and easy! I just parked and they came out to me and got my order info! Shortly after I was delivered my items. It wasn't contactless because the guy scrolled my phone to get the order number. Overall, it was a good experience but I can see some issues with having separate workers walking back and forth from the bookstore to each car in the parking lot. It's efficient and convenient for me but not the employees. I'm grateful for the service though!”

“I'm surprised about the rating. I have been going here for on and off 6 years. The campus has grown immensely and a lot of work has gone into building it better. Front office is all remodeled and the resources are all located together. The new parking structure has helped a lot for parking. And now they are building another science center. The campus adapted with the change of Covid. And online classes have changed for the better. The professors had to learn change their way of teaching. I enjoy all my on-line classes. It's more work but definitely more manageable.”
