Call in advance to see if the product that I was interested in purchasing was available in the store.
The person that I talked to checked the inventory and said it was in stock.
I immediately drove to the store and when I arrived, I was greeted as I entered the store.
All I had to say was I called about....
The man at the register said "I have it right here " (which was right by him at the register)

I'm nostalgic for a big five sporting goods because that is the primary sporting goods store that was around when I was a kid and a teenager back in the '80s and the '90s. So many big box, sports stores and online sports shopping have put this company out of business, but they still have many locations throughout the Sacramento area. Surprisingly for such small store locations compared to their bigger competitors they have just about everything you could possibly need related to sports. It's very diverse inside. Definitely give them a check. They always are carrying really great deals and coupons on their website and app. This is always been a characteristic of this company. You can get some really great deals!

Customer service is 0 or of 10 at the store! Tried to call corporate customer service and was looped over and over. Nobody answered the phone. Called back and left a message. Nobody ever called me back. Do not waste your time or money at Big 5!!

Went in to big 5 store to buy a pellet pistol, clerk showed me a Glock 17, co2 cartridges I liked it and said i would buy it he ask me if in needed co2 cartridges and pellets. I bought the gun and co2 cartridges. I did not buy pellets because i have many. When i opened package i found the gun only shot bbs. I took the gun back in the original package with the receipt. I talked to a man name Rocky. Explained what happened . Rocky told me he would not take gun back because the package was opened and it was my fault because i did not read the small print on the package that it bas a bb gun. I told him that i relied on the clerk to get me a pellet gun. Rocky reinstated again that it was my fault for not reading the package and refused to take it back.

I waited 20 minutes for service that never came so I left this racist store that has had issues over the years with minority consumers. This is a place of business why do white peoples choose to bring their evil attitudes to a business that caters to the public. Why be racist at all???? I guess evil within will always rear its ugly attributes when that is all you have to offer. As a African man full of empathy and the spirit of God it pains me and befuddles me to experience that type of behavior when inferiority is birthed within the minds of those jealous of another who they because of a difference can not intellectually adapt to because they are full of ignorance!!!!

Jerry the manager is very rude and unprofessional. I got there exactly at 8:30 knew exactly what I wanted and called before I came. He would not assist me and didn’t want to offer me any services. His staff looked bothered as he smirked at me and locked the door in my face. His poor attitude will ensure me never returning and I will reach out to corporate.
