This location is only open to 4 pm no communication and website was saying open till 5pm wasted parking fee and found out closed at 4pm pretty sure all of the branches run a closed at 4pm unhelpful to working customers timeframe. How about 9am till 6pm we all c ant take a lunch break in midtown and drive around looking for parking on one way streets

I am a member of Bank of the West the branches have great services anywhere you go. Got forgive if you have to call the call center you could be dying and you never ever able to talk in a short time, I have waited an hour an a half for them to release my debit card, stuck in a gas station waiting for them to get to my turn.. Every time you call you always get the message that they are experiencing a higher volume of calls. After being on hold for 1 and a half hour I get a voice telling me they are having problems with their phone lines and to call later. Their phone service sucks, you NEVER EVER CAN GET PROMPT SERVICE ON THE PHONE.

If I could give a minus five stars I would. After multiple calls for online help, different times of the day, different days of the week and being disconnected twice with a hold time totaling five hours and thirty seven minutes I quit!!!! This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I tried to pay bills but was unable to log in. Just 15 minutes ago I was disconnected after holding for one hour and 16 minutes! HORRIBLE SERVICE

Today is August 24, 2021 and my second account has now been closed by someone at the 500 Capitol Mall office of Bank of the West. The person closing my account refused to sign the letter of intent to close this account or provide a reason for closing. ( see letter in photos ) The account was in good standing, NO bad transactions or problems with account at all. Called customer service on 8/20/2021 and representative said there were NO notes in the comments section of my account and she didn't see any reason it would be closed. Hum ??? This is very suspicious and will be turned over to my attorney. It appears someone at Bank of the West is possibly discriminating against me and personally targeting my accounts thereby denying my access to legal banking business or financial transaction based on a personal bias or vendetta. The closing of this account is disruptive to my banking obligations with other businesses and also affected my paycheck from being direct deposited. In my opinion, Bank of the West does NOT know what excellent customer service is. Check back for an update and see what the courts will say.

Parking is ridiculous, one teller. They really don't care if you are in their bank or not! Not like they are the only bank around.

If I could give this bank negative stars, I would. Non responsive, pathetic and zero customer service. Good luck reaching someone at their "customer service" line - 40 to 60 minute wait and that's if you're fortunate enough to reach someone. This piece of crap bank continued to charge me $503 in overdraft fees on an account I had believe was closed. Additionally, when I went into the bank to change my name, the teller took my ATM card, destroyed it and told me I'd receive a new one in 7-10 business days. No temporary card, nothing. It's taken me over 2 years to get someone to look into the overdrafts and the response I received was pathetic. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE! Irreputable and incompetent.

This Bank should not operate in Sacramento. They promote predatory and deceptive lending practices BUYER BEWARE. Atrocious customer service and are not concerned at all about business survival during this terrible crisis. Meredith M (senior lead relationship manager, VP) should be removed or reassigned. BoW is not concerned about relationships. Thus there is no need to cultivate relationships. My pediatric clinic services infants, children and teens. A vital and necessary community needs based service. The bank would not lose any money with this transaction they just felt it necessary to charge a very large and unecessary penalty. Go elsewhere for all your banking needs.

Very frustrating bank for business. When setting up Quikbooks with my bookkeeping company, I had to give them my personal password for my entire banking system in order to setup Quikbooks. Ridiculous. In addition, they have very limited branches, extremely inconvenient.

I've trusted my accounts/business to Bank of the West for years, but after a very unpleasant and stressful experience - I've closed all my accounts and will never come back here. What a terrible customer service from Mark Mraule - a disrespectful and unprofessional j*** (his attitude was worse than Trump's to give you perspective) - I can't believe this bank made him a VP - what a disappointment...

Here cashing my check not a member but my parole checks are bank of the west. Not sure if it has to do with the verifications my company has put in place or just standard procedures but they sure seem to take a long time to cash the checks . Last time they called my employer and asked to verify the check my employer said something and the teller responded . "Yeah I see it I was just double checking" !!! Not sure what that was about. But had me wondering if he thought I looked shady or something. But on the other hand seems if you have an account with them it will be safe . Got helped by a teller named Brandon he was friendly and polite , so I guess I can't assume anything by the conversation I overheard.
