As an art center, they are okay. As a child care facility, they are ill-equipped and lack proper concern for the children they care for daily.During my time here, I came across many licensing violations. Staff does not know licensing rules. Children went home with dirty diapers on from nap time (or went home with no diaper entirely) and bleach stains covering the entirety of their backs from changing table and these things happened multiple times. A kid ran out the back door and another bit a kid so hard they bled, and these were both due to teacher negligence. Cleaning was ineffective and did not follow state rules and regulations (bleach was mixed with water and left for weeks when in reality it becomes useless after 24 hours, no PPE used, etc). Chemicals were forgotten about where kids could easily reach and diapers were changed right by the snacks (often without gloves for either thing). Waters were almost never available to children because staff forgot. Children were left alone or completely out of ratio at the water table outside.Directors chose to keep a teacher who was found kissing kids on the mouth, and kept another teacher who let a kid run out the back door and left another child in a room without supervision. Snacks were bare minimum, background play area is unsafe and not secured (there was a wooden structure falling off the wall, unsure if this is still the case; and the backdoor does not always stay locked). For as much as you pay for childcare here, it is not worth it. This site is GENUINELY not safe for children. If I could give zero stars, I would. I brought my daughter here with me a couple times while I worked, and she hated it. Staff would leave her by herself to cry instead of teaching her that it was okay and she was safe. The director is nice but she makes fun of her employees and loses her patience easily.Everything I have said is true, well documented and in writing, so it is not considered libel/slander/or defamation. I post this so hopefully the problems at this center will be taken care of before someone's child is seriously injured.

No longer open to the public and only a preschool now?? This makes me so sad - I met my step daughter for the first time at this place, it was so special. I couldn't wait to bring my own children here one day, but they were born during and after covid, now they'll never get to experience the arts and crafts of Art Beast I guess :(

This place is ridiculous. Requiring masks for outdoor play?

I wanted to like this place so much and in a way I do. I love the idea of my son being about to do crafts that doesnt end with glue all over my table, or paint on my carpet. But I came in with my almost 2 son and 6 Month twins. There is no elevator so I'm carrying twin carseats up and down stairs, fine I can live with that, Downtown, old house. 9 dollars for my son to play, okay not bad. But why am I being charged 9 dollars for myself. I'm not there for me; I'm there for my son. I'm not playing with the blocks and legos or painting pictures, doing crafts. Most parking is an hour so I'm paying 18 dollars to hang for an hour and go move my car or leave? I rather pay 12 or 15 for my son to play. I feel like places for kids shouldn't charge the parent entry. I would never walk in on my own (no kids)and be like yeah I'm going to hang here. Honestly, they would probably kick me out. Between the stair, parking, and paying 18 dollar entry ( the straw that broke the camel's back) I cant recommend this place.

We've taken our kids, 4 and 2, here multiple times. It's in a really cool three story building in midtown that even has a basement!Like the name suggests, it's an art studio and it's intended for kids. These pictures shown are from summer camp that our son is going to.I've shown About half to two-thirds of the rooms, because I don't want to spoil all of it! There's some really neat themes throughout the building and it's definitely worth the go. Staff are friendly, and it seems like a well-organized place.

Way to overpriced for such horrible place. Everything is DIRTY and OLD!!!!!!!!! The blocks and toys are old like something found in a dumpster. The front counter had “toys” that were dirty and ripped, sponges and rusty locks. The outdoor play area was even worse! Disgusting rusty old toys and by toys I mean rocks and sticks that was suppose to be part of the “fairy garden” and old spatulas and ladles. Never ever taking my son there and no one should ever.

My kids loved it. Its was fun. But definitely out dated. The staff could enjoy their job a bit more. But over all a swell experience for small children.

Great place for spending time with the kids! Combines art of different kinds, costumes, games, toys and more :) staff is super friendly and price is more than fare. Three floors of pure fun with a cool coffee place for the parents just around the corner. Highly recommended for a rainy day or any day!

Visited from Montana. Loved the concept and mission. We took our 3 year old son and 4 year old niece. It was nice to go somewhere downtown where the children could play safely and be creative. Would definitely return.
