I was impressed with the Alamo personnel at Sacramento International Airport. Checking in -- I requested an electric driver's seat and the staff member was very nice to accommodate my request. When I returned the car, the young man who checked me in offered to remove my luggage from the trunk of the car (which I've never had happen ever). When I started walking away from my car another Alamo staff member asked me what airline I was flying and he then told me which shuttle bus to catch for the terminal.
I really appreciated the service provided by these impressive Alamo employees!!! They are truly an asset to the company.

Friendly, fast and thorough. Both with the pick up and the drop off. Great experience and half the cost of Hertz for the same rental.

Great rental. No issues with our vehicle. Free upgrade and we arrived late from our flight and the agent was still waiting for us! Early drop off was easy as well.

Great service by Alamo Rep, Tim, at the Sacramento Airport this past Sunday morning! I had an issue with getting the gas cap open to fill up on return, and he handled it with a smile and much courtesy. I would definitely drive with Alamo again, based on this experience!

We had a great experience with this location. Easy check in and check out. No issues with our vehicle. My husband left his phone in the car upon check out. The staff quickly found it and even dropped us off at the terminal. Highly recommend!

I had the absolute best rental car experience (15+ years renting cars) with Alamo SMF. Super quick check in and friendly employees at the desk and dropping off. I rented a premium and had a brand new Audi A6 waiting for me. I was quite surprised with my experience and it exceeded my expectations. You can't go wrong renting from this location!

This review is specific to the Sacramento Location. Picking up the vehicle was very easy and all the personnel very friendly and helpful. What made the experience outstanding was when we returned the vehicle. I got injured just before traveling and had to use a knee scooter and crutches to get around. After we had checked in the vehicle and were gathering our stuff a woman (I wish that I got her name), who I assume was a supervisor, came to the vehicle and insisted that she help us put everything back in the vehicle and she would have someone drive us to the terminal so I did not have to deal with the bus. She had Gregory Johnson drive us to the terminal and he helped unload everything. i cannot tell you how much this extra service was appreciated. Thank you!

I don’t usually use the word outstanding when reviewing a car rental experience, but this one was. The car was nice, but the difference was the people and the level of service provided. We needed some assistance on the lot with the car, and there was someone right there who was courteous and wanted to make sure our trip started right. Then when we returned the car we had a lot of luggage and the attendant actually helped us get it all back to the airport. In a world of “self serve” everything it is refreshing to come across a team of people who just want to be helpful.

It was my first experience with rental cars, and it was a disaster. I spent almost three hours at the rental office and left without a vehicle. The first car they offered had an awful smell, and the second car, which took 60 minutes to swap out, had been in an accident and wasn’t safe for a long road trip.

Renter beware of Alamo! Our rental car had the facia damaged by the spike strips in the return lot. The hardware is mounted double row and is too tall for the low profile Alpha Romeo we rented. Now Alamo has filed a claim against me and my insurance and I cannot get anyone on the phone to discuss what happened. This tire damage device is intended to make contact with tires in the event of theft not to drag across the bodywork of the vehicles. If Alamo wants to rent low ground clearance vehicles, they should have the lot set up for safe operation. Shady practices will have me going away from Alamo & Enterprise.
Update: Response here from owner is incorrect link that leads to nowhere. Just a public cut and paste to appear responsive. My rental agreement is 957441105. All information to contact me, including phone number, can be found there.
Update #2 Finally got on the phone with the local manager. He heard my story out but after me explaining that my trip was going fine until I entered the Alamo lot and had their own tire hooks catch the fender. He then pleasantly told me he was sorry but he could be of no help and that he would proceed in pursuing a $4,500 claim. I checked blue book on this car and it is arguable valued at 20k coming out of a rental environment with 46k miles. Bummer that I will pay close to 25% of its value to get the bumper clipped back on. I will avoid Enterprise, Alamo and National whenever possible.
