My daughter had 2 storage units at this facility. One was for her 17 foot horse trailer and the other was for a 12 by 16 unit. In December 2022, we went to pick up her horse trailer for a job and noticed tons of garbage had been piled on top of the trailer on the roof, there were also scratch marks all over the windows that appeared to be from someone trying to break into the trailer. The trailer has about 6 thousand dollars worth of solar panels and equipment installed which would be an obvious reason for someone to vandalize. My daughter went to the office to ask if there was a garbage for the trash that had been left on the trailer and Jerry, the manager proceeded to be extremely rude and tell her to take the trash in the trailer. She mentioned the vandalism and said "why am I paying for a secure storage if this vandalism is happening?" To which Jerry replied "not for long" The very next day Jerry sent her an email saying thanks for your business, effectively kicking her out for no reason. The payment date for both units had been the 14th of each month for over 1 year time. At this time, Jerry changed the payment date to the 9th of each month as well as raised the rent on the 12 by 16 storage unit. So we had to frantically find a new place to store the trailer which took over a month to find and in the meantime we had to drag the trailer around various parts of the state we had been traveling to. Do you know you difficult it is to park a trailer in San Francisco? How about Berkeley, California? It's impossible. So fast forward to January 13, my daughter sends a notice that she is leaving this facility by February 14 which is what the contract states is required, 30 days notice. It's February 10 and yesterday my daughter recieved a charge for the storage unit, $146.00 She moved out of the unit completely on February 7, 2 days before the 9th and a week before the 14th. Jerry has never responded to any correspondence about her leaving. She sent multiple emails to Jerry informing that she was leaving. The management here is committing fraud and Jerry is an immature person who is hotbheaded and has outbursts of rage at unsuspecting clients. If you care about your belongings and having a respectful relationship with the people you do business with, do not store your things here.

Renters beware this is the most awful storage unit I have ever rented the manager Jerry almost let my ex into my storage unit multiple times the first time he said he would take my ex off my contact list and write a note that he's nit allowed in my unit a month later he almost let him in again after taking to jerry again he said again he would take him off my list then a few weeks go by on get locked in the storage place I asked his son why the code didn't work that I had until 10 pm he said he didn't k ow why and would let his dad jerry know I never heard anymore about it so figured it was something wrong with the gate opener so I go back a few days later and I get locked in again I called 5 times waited 40 mins didn't know what to do so I started looking at the gate for a Otto. Or some way to get out since no one was answering and it's been 40 min then jerry come running out yelling at me then contact my ex that he said he took off my contact list then get a letter that he's eviction for being there passed hours but I was never informed they changed hours and now I have my ex harassing me again cause since jerry called him he think it's his unit too now what a mess there's a lot better storage units in the area save your self the headache

Expensive boxes to put stuff in when you don't have anywhere else but still want to keep it... Storage units.Clean enough with rates to match the local pricing that is possibly very slightly adjusted for location. This one is in the middle of nowhere, unless Penn Valley is your somewhere. Units DEFINITELY run small as your tape measure will confirm so plan accordingly. Also be aware this facility is compact making the most of every inch of available space which lends to some VERY small clearances when negotiating the turns. Boats, cars and other miscellaneous stored items clutter the facility and really make it a pain when pulling a large trailer.

Definitely one of the better storage places available in the area. Very nice people. They don't try to price gouge you or hit you up for fees. Safe place to put your stuff.

Nice place, good management. They're accommodating and it's very safe storage. Other customers will even make sure you punch your own code in, no piggybacking. So it's policed pretty well all around.

This storage unit has been holding my unit hostage because they raise rent every other month, refused to work out any payment arrangement and used the unit to force me to pay my ENTIRE disability check to clear out my unit even though I currently live out of my car, my unit is filled with my dead families possessions so they knew I wasn’t going to say no, I can’t pay any of my other bills or provide myself food, why happens after I pay? I don’t even get time to clear out, I get a call saying they are going to throw my possessions away IN THE DUMP, the same exact thing that was worth $1000 just the other day that was going to get auctioned off any moment if I didn’t pay up, now it’s about to go to the dump? They use your property as leverage to get the money. The business isn’t the same as it was pre pandemic.

I've have had an extremely uncomfortable experience at this business. I brought my 1967 Dodge Charger here and rented a 10x20 storage unit, paid for 4 months in advance. Upon putting my vehicle here I asked if they had any rodent issues. I was told they regularly exterminate and have never had issues. Upon returning I noticed rats/mice had chewed through my power steering hoses, battery cables and coolant reservoir. Upon informing Jerry of the issue, instead of coming to view my vehicle and storage unit he sent me a very disrespectful manipulative email telling me the rent will be increased 300% or I may leave. I have emailed him many times, called and requested a return phone call only to get short disrespectful emails back. I have rented houses storage units, apartments etc for many years, I have never had a single issue with any landlord ever. I am a very respectful tenant. I was not requesting any money or help for the damages I incurred, I simply wanted him to know of the issue. Now they are giving me 30 days to leave or face 300% rent increase. I'm beyond disappointed, disrespected and ashamed that Jerry and his owners choose to treat good customers like this. I'll will be exhausting every Avenue I can to report their business online, and to the better business bureau. This is not how to treat your customers. Before I wrote this review I Called and left multiple messages and begged for a return call to discuss this situation. They refused. Absolutely do not trust these guys with anything of value. First time you present a concern they evict. Scum bags

This review is for the entire Uhal Corporation. No training on their internet system to this location. Waited an hour for them to honor my reservations, never recieved contract. Just handed keys with no idea of charges. Brought back and was double billed. Took weeks to get back money. No one cares.
