We used to shop here all of the time, but 2020 seemed to mark a new downward spiral for Safeway. Their food seems to be expired on the shelves more often than not.
We bought a 2 for $5 package of Rana fettuccine noodles. Either bag was not expired but one bag was completely moldy and the other not so I don’t know if that was part of the deal? Not happy- family dinner was ruined since I combined the two packages in boiling water.
Time before that we purchased Brussels and my husband ended-up testing positive for e-coli after taking leftovers for work the following day.
Don’t bother reaching-out to us. Our problem is solved- we just refuse to shop here anymore!

I called the Deli around 1:30 pm on 06/08/2024, I had a question about my order through Uber Eats. I think the person I spoke to was Tiffany, I am not sure if I got the name right. She was very polite and helpful.

Today I had a very bad customer experience in the Safeway on sunrise boulevard in Roseville.
The deli department was understaffed. Yes. Waited 6 minutes? And not? One of the 7. People behind the counter acknowledged that I was standing there.
While checking out there were 5 of us in line and the cashier did not call for backup.
I've been coming into the Safeway for over a decade. And I have never had a bad experience like today.
Today's experience was enough to make me reconsider shopping at this Safeway again.

This Safeway is so clean and organized, non-judgemental, the associates are kind, knowledgeable, and not once has there been a visit that someone hasn't offered help or said something kind, and they have great specials for members. Great job associates,!!! PP. S. The pharmacy is packed with caring, extremely hard working to make sure everyone gets their meds. Whether the pharmacists, Dr's, Pharmacists associates, MA's, etc, they are all very devoted to being at work long hours, to make sure people stay well, feel better, get information they seek about a health matter or OTC med, they are AWESOME. God bless you all. P. S. Even the restrooms are regularly attended. 5 stars and a hooray from this devoted shopper.

Almost lost $200 cash in this location. But the nice employees turned it to guest services. Glad I was able to find this money, 10/10 great customer service.

Staff is really nice and not too pushy, but the place is always full of asshole customers who give you rude looks or laugh at you. There's also always teenagers and the homeless lurking around and it's very offputting.

A excellent grocery store to shop at. Gas prices are fairly Fair. On Friday is five for five that's a good deal. Safeway hasn't changed just improved. Still a great place to shop. They have an excellent bakery.

On March 9, 2024, I visited the deli for a sandwich. Aaron served me and did a fantastic job with my order. I am picky and he matched my energy. He was fun and efficient. Be sure to thank him.

The person behind the sandwich counter took a little long to make our Reuben and did not heat it up as that was part of why I ordered that sandwich, but we were in a hurry already so did not have time to wait or correct them. Was not a great experience for a review. ☹️

I have been a loyal customer at this store in Roseville ever since I moved here(2015), mainly because the food in the deli department has always been of good quality. Their salad, in particular, is consistently fresh and delicious. However, my experience has been marred by the presence of a highly unprofessional and unfriendly lady who serves food in this department. She consistently questions the way I prefer my food to be served and refuses to fulfill my requests, even when I offer to pay extra for additional items. This has happened multiple times, and it is becoming increasingly frustrating. Unlike her, the other staff members are always willing to make adjustments to my order. Despite this issue, I used to buy food from this deli department at least twice a week due to it being my favorite. Unfortunately, today the same disappointing encounter happened again. I was so exhausted and sleep-deprived that I couldn't help but confront her. The disappointment I felt was immense. From now on, I have decided not to purchase any more food from this deli department. Even though the food is undeniably good, I will opt to go to a different location. I just hope the taste remains consistent. I would like to express my gratitude to the individuals responsible for preparing the food, as it is indeed enjoyable. However, to that lady, if you are not satisfied with your job, it would be best for you to seek employment elsewhere.

Customer service is definitely not a concern at this location. All of the employees don't acknowledge you when you come to the register, that's when you say hello to the customer, lol. Unless I say something first, the only thing the employee at the register says is the total. I realize most of the employees at this particular location are on the spectrum but they should still be taught some kind of customer service.
