These guys were honest, friendly and helpful. Reminded me of the vibes in the small town where I grew up where people knew your mom probably knew theirs so they were gonna be on the up and up.
We needed a truck and they had the perfect one for us. They were no nonsense, didn't try to upsell us, and helped us through all the paperwork and got us on the road in no time. I've had shitty experiences buying cars, and this was THE BEST ONE.

Jeff was the best very understanding to my situation and did all he could to help... I'm seeing a lot where something went wrong with the car... its always to be safe then sorry and spend the extra money on a full 3 year warranty just incase that's with any used car really.... I haven't had issues with mine .... I plan to take for an oil change today so we shall see

So when I first came here I checked the reviews for the purpose of making sure I was at least going to a dealer that was honest with their practice. The reviews on here are pretty 50/50 so coming felt a bit risky but I will share my personal experience .
I forgot most names but people here are definitely going to leave you to yourself.(which is nice in some ways) The customer service in general has opportunity I’d rate that about a 3/5 . They just weren’t really speaking much on the product I was potentially wanting to buy even a little bit. I was looking to buy a truck something just for work nothing newer just an old reliable. I came in looking at a 96’. I came with my knowledge of the car and general specs the car would have but the seller didn’t say much about it at all. They did let me test drive which was great. The car itself was great. My main worry with this place was that I came across some previous reviews of customers buying cars and then a week or two later having to take it to the shop cause the check engine light came on. Obviously for what I was looking for I wasn’t worried too much about getting any tune ups if i happened to grab the truck But I wanted no major issues.
When it came down to buying the car especially if ur looking for anything 10k under they will not budge on price. I was paying full and what they were flexible with, was just leaving with a flat rate which didn’t do much but the gesture was nice.
I ended up buying the truck with also purchasing the state cooling off period policy which would allow me to return the car within a 48hr period if anything came up. (Which I think the owner didn’t like very much however this technically would be the only form of warranty or refund policy u would have if you needed or so chose to return the car . So I bought it)
Thankfully i had the car checked and everything was good ?? needed a new starter though and some hoses other than that it is a beautiful truck and I’m happy with the purchase.
When coming just make sure you know the details of the car ur looking for and known issues with that make and model and look up the vin previous to looking at the car. Hayes Auto does sell the car as is! So it makes more sense that they won’t say much in that regard. It’s on you to do the homework.
There was one gentleman who cleaned up the truck for me and took a pic of me. I really really enjoyed that guy he made the experience very enjoyable towards the very very end . I don’t remember your name but definitely 10/10 thank you !

My husband bought me vehicle, it's really nice car, but check engine come on, less then month. We also purchase warranty for vehicle, after we went to mechanical shop, our warranty we purchased not covering issue. ALSO THEY HAVE HIDDING FEES.

Ok, here we go. I wanna set the record straight, although I typically never do reviews. I just bought a car from Hayes Classics, a division of Hayes Auto Sales. From day 1 we were treated kindly, and with respect. I have a very non-conventional work schedule, and Murray dropped everything (more than once) to accomodate me. Further, because of my schedule, and the need for appointments on the classics, it was tough to find a time when my wife could also view with me - this too didn't stop Murray from finding a way.
My first time seeing the vehicle, 2 other gentleman came out and were super excited to help me around the vehicle and answer questions. One of them turns out was Mr. Hayes himself. In my career, we have to put service over self, and to be honest, it sets me up for failure more often than not when I'm on my private time because I expect too much from others. This was not the case with Murray and John Hayes. Wow, what top notch service! Everything from 4 visits we did prior to deciding we were going to buy, to then the 2 visits for the buying itself, everything was first class. In fact, I feel these are dudes I can stay in touch with forever, (beyond the business side of things).
I've already told 5 people about Hayes, and I'll never stop. Go there, you won't be disappointed. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE understand selling used cars is a bit of roulette in that these guys can't wave a magic wand and make every car without issues. I understand I'm buying a car as is. I also know with the proper amount of respect shown back to John and Murray, that should something pop up, they'll at least help me navigate the issue. I'd never ask for freebies, that's too unrealistic - but asking for compassion, understanding, and expecting a couple guys to stand by their name, that's not too much to ask for and I know they'll be there.
2 last quick things I absolutely love about them besides just being great guys. John (Mr. Hayes) readily gives out his number and says "I don't hide" and he, Murray and the everyone that works there all say the same thing to nauseam "If Mr. Hayes gives you his word, it's a solid as anything".
John/Murray, you guys are making me realize there is still hope in this failing society of ours. Thank you for everything!

Outstanding customer service! No pressure from anyone we dealt with, had any questions we asked answered.
We went looking for a used car and found exactly what we were looking for.
Maurice was pleasant, answered our questions, and even asked some of his own when we weren't interested in a different model (he was genuinely curious). No issues with us kicking the tires, popping the hood, or spending time checking out the interior. Easy to test drive and made sure we weren't interested in anything else. We had great conversations with him as well. Pricing was appropriate for what we were looking at. Finance department (I'm so sorry I don't remember his name) was great, explained everything (we declined extended warranty so we didn't ask any questions about that) and answered the couple questions we had.
John (owner) came out and chatted with us also and made sure to give us a well intentioned hard time. Overall, it felt like we were dealing with friends, or at least strangers who cared about us having a good experience.
10/10 would recommend checking out their inventory and giving them a visit if you're in the market for a used car.
