Great local bank, great service. Everyone there knows your name and are very helpful. Much better service than the "big banks"

DO NOT BANK HERE!!! SAVE YOUR TRAUMA, TIME, AND ENERGY!! I opened a savings account in May 2020. I am fortunate enough to have a stable income from unemployment benefits during this Pandemic while living in an area with high Co-vid 19 cases. With that being said I had an account with Goldman Sachs, a Marcus Savings account because of the apr rate. Marcus Savings kept lowering the APR rate so I was looking for other accounts with higher rates and found First Foundation Bank on Smartasset.com. THIS WAS A HUGE MISTAKE. I made an initial transfer to open the account and continued to transfer for the following weeks every time I received a direct deposit from UI benefits. I ONLY HAD THIS ACCOUNT FOR THREE WEEKS. I logged into my account after recieveing an email that a transfer was unsuccessful in processing. The amount that was unsuccessful was the amount I wrote on the application upon opening the account. This amount I MANUALLY TRANSFERRED UPON OPENING THE ACCOUNT. The bank for whatever reason still automated this transfer THREE weeks after opening it. I logged into my account after seeing this email and was not able to on the website or the app because the website said I HAD NO ACCOUNT WITH THE BANK! NEVER IN TIME ON THIS EARTH HAVE I HAD A BANK TELL ME I HAVE NO ACCOUNT WHEN I PUT ALL MY SAVINGS. I COULD NOT SEE MY MONEY OR BLANCE I HAD NO IDEA WHERE MY MONEY WENT. I 100 PERCENT THOUGHT THIS BANK WAS A SCAM AND STOLE ALL MY MONEY. THE WEBSITE LITERALLY SAID "I HAD NO ACCOUNT WITH THIS BANK" Please do yourself a favor do not bank with this bank. IT TOOK SIX HOURS ON THE PHONE, EMAILS, TALKING TO THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE, AND HAVING TO ENDURE SPEAKING TO AN EXTREMELY NASTY AND UNPROFESSIONAL SUPERVISOR NAMED DANAE MCDANIEL WHO LITERALLY BEGAN SHOUTING AND GOT INTO A SCREAMING MATCH WITH ME. THEN SPEAKING TO A MANAGER IN A DIFFERENT DEPARTMENT TO SETTLE WHAT HAPPENED AND HAVE ACCESS TO MY ACCOUNT AND FUNDS AGAIN. I TRANSFERRED EVERYTHING BACK TO GOLDMAN SACHS. DO NOT BANK WITH FIRST FOUNDATION BANK SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME, TRAUMA, AND ENERGY. Never have I had customer service so MISHANDLED and unprofessional. I am appalled this is how a bank would do business and treat their customers at such unprecedented times. It was a complete disaster dealing with this bank and I can not believe how the supervisor is representing this bank, it is a direct reflection of the top of the chainline at this bank and I want nothing to do with anyone who conducts business this way. I am still completely disgusted. Even after complaining to corporate and a manager they did not bother to follow up. I would also like to add I was accused of fraud because they did not believe my savings coming from Goldman Sachs belonged to me. Was the way I was treated and the way my account was handled based on the Xenophobia of its employees based on MY LAST NAME???!!! Why would a bank make such claims? ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING GIVEN THE POLITICAL CLIMATE AND STATE OF THE WORLD. DO NOT BANK HERE GO TO GOLDMAN SACHS!!!

First it is very hard to find. Second they were very rude. I emailed them ahead of time to let them know what kind of account I wanted. They said "no problem". "We have many account like what you describe." When I got there, I they hadnt a clue to what I wanted. I tried to put every stumbling block in my way. They said one thing one time and then changed their mind and said something different. Frankly I dont think they know what they are doing. I would not recommend them. This is the one in Roseville on Douglas. First Foundation Bank...or so called

"I love this bank" - said no one ever in the history of banks, except for now. I have been banking with Community 1st Bank since the first day I became a business owner. In 6 years I have to say that out of all the mistakes I've made as a business owner, choosing to bank with Community 1st Bank has never been one. What makes them so great? It's their people. Straight up. Gretchen Eischen is my account manager. She treats me like I have $10 million in the bank (I don't, just FYI - yet.) There is no issue too small for Gretchen. She aggressively handles every single issue as if I am her most important client. It has always been this way... Over the years I've also communicated with Sarah and Nick. They are always happy to help and literally drop whatever they are working on to assist me with any issue - No. Matter. What. So, after many years, this is my long over due thank you to Gretchen, Sarah, Nick and everyone else at Community 1st Bank - Thank You for everything you do. I could not run my business without you.

My choice for a bank because of their personal touch and dedication. Even when there appears to be a problem, they call me quickly to solve in the most proactive manner possible. I don't foresee going anywhere else and heartily recommend them.

I've been in person to this branch and called them many time for help with our nonprofit business account. Very helpful and proactive. Great customer service. Talk to a real person right away on the phone, not a robot. I highly recommend this bank.

Horrible customer service. Branch manager had no idea what he was talking about. Wouldn't issue a cashiers check without having the information for the bank it was going to be cashed at. Really? Thats an invasion of my privacy.
