Everyone is so nice. Took my puppy for her first visit today. Everything was explained and I left with a clear plan for her first year!

I visited this office 6/6/2024 with recommendation from from Veterinary Specialty hospital in Roseville with diagnosis asking for anti-inflammatory prescription for my dog and they were very unfriendly and unprofessional and didn't even read my yesterday post visit paperwork. I would not recommend this office.

They were not able to get blood draw because the dog was nipping at them. This dog is very lovable and friendly once he gets comfortable with you and he was medicated for anxiety. They could not manage a dachshund........ they are veterinaries, how do you not know how to sweet talk a small dog. Oh no they said he was nipping at them. They gave him other shots but couldn't draw blood. The dog was probably in pain by that time. I just don't understand. Definitely changing vets!! They still charge you even if they didn't complete the job. Be careful!

Such a great clinic! We're patients with a new puppy. So we have only been there 3 times. But every visit has been a pleasure, and the doctors and technicians are so kind, friendly, gentle, caring, considerate with our puppy and with us. What I most appreciate is the responsiveness to calls and even emails. Awesome staff. Five stars.

Been coming here for years with all my fur babies, and couldn't love them more. It doesn't matter which doctor or technician you get because they are all wonderful! Sadly with a sick cat we are here frequently lately, but the staff really do care for your pets and give them lots of treats(if approved) and love. They are very knowledgeable and explain everything and then some! Truly making you and your pets feel comfortable. Couldn't imagine going anywhere else.

I can not say enough good things. We just recently switched vets and I am so happy with Dr. Flanagan. I have three labs and two of them are very nervous at the vet due to bad experiences at a previous vet. She is kind and so patient with them. The whole staff has been wonderful and I will never go anywhere else!

How do I give them a 10 when the highest rating is 5. These folks are simply wonderful. Not only do they emphasize a stress free environment for their patients, they are warm, friendly, knowledgeable, thorough and never ever rush you even if you have a ton of questions. Dr Foster is great. He is warm, humorous, friendly and gentle with my dogs. Before we met, he reviewed their medical history from a previous clinic and offered easy to accomplish advice for their care. I am so happy that my dogs are now part of their family. I feel we are in good hands.

I've brought several pets to Douglas and recommended their services to lots of pet-parent friends over the years. I can't say enough good things about them. Recently they wedged my beloved pup into urgent care to remove a foxtail caught in her throat. She's a shy dog who requires a lot of patience and tact (or cheese) in your approach, and they never fail to please my Cheese Auditor. She's now sleeping off some very attentive care and I couldn't be more thankful for the Douglas Veterinary staff, from their front desk to Dr. Flanagan. We'll be back again (hopefully for nothing more than an annual physical and shots!)

Gracey, a 10 year old border collie rescue, has some major issues with people getting close to her. She was virtually impossible to handle and would not cooperate with her providers. We found out about DBVC from a friend who was trying to help us with her behavior and lucky for us , Rose, the very special vet tech at the clinic, set up "happy visits" to try to acclimatize Gracey to the clinic environment. Rose, and all the staff, have been very supportive and encouraging Gracey to feel comfortable and safe at the clinic. We spent more than a year going to the clinic, getting used to the facility and to Rose and the staff. Rose's devotion and attention to Graceys needs have been exemplary. She has been nothing short of a miracle worker, getting Gracey into the clinic exam rooms and actually getting some real vet care. No other vet that we have ever seen even offered such a service. A very special gift to be able to win the trust of such an untrusting little border collie. Gracey has a good friend in Rose, and has developed a real trust. thank you all, especially Rose, for the care and support that you have given. we look forward to our continued relationship and to Graceys good health.

I would rate this a ZERO if I could. After having my pets there for years, I have finally left. I have heard that they're now owned by a corporation, no longer individual vets. Perhaps this explains the horrible customer service and scheduling issues that now take place there. If your pet is a patient there, and you need a general appointment to check on an issue, you may wait a month out for any appointments. FOUR WEEKS! If you are lucky, you can get an appointment in two weeks. This lack of scheduling would be equivalent to having a pediatrician, and if your kiddo has a nasty ear infection from a cold - you wait FOUR WEEKS to address it, or they refer you to the local E.R! And what makes it worse is their staff, and I'm assuming the vets, and well the corporation as well, do not find it problematic at all. In fact, they defend it as though that it is normal, which is a sign that things will not change there. I was told by staff - "We are a general practice, not an E.R.," "I don't know what to say our vets are even working through their lunch hour.," "We are no longer taking new patients due to this." None of this is helpful if you want to schedule a timely appointment. If you are frustrated, don't put up with it find another vet. There are plenty of great ones out there that don't make you wait FOUR WEEKS for a general appointment.

We had to out down our wonderful dog today. Dr. Schwab was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and skilled. The technician, Fatima, was great too - very compassionate. They made a difficult thing bearable.

I had to bring my cat in because of a problem with in her ear. THEY WERE GREAT! She was misdiagnosed by 2 vets before saying she had ear mites when in fact it was a yeast infection. The reason for 4 stars is I called back after 2 weeks thinking she may need more medication and they took a message and said the doctor would call back (or someone to let me know if I can just get some meds for her ear). No one called. I called back again this time wanting an appointment because I thought her ear was getting worse. They told me I was supposed to come back for a follow up appointment BUT no one ever told me that. I brought her back and saw another doctor and problem fixed! Her infection is gone but they taught me how to clean her ear once a week because she has a lot of wax in that ear. BOTH doctors were great BUT communication not so much. I will continue to take my cat there because they really took care of her. The first appointment she had to be sedated to flush the ear out.

I've been happy with my dogs care. However, I strongly discourage purchasing medications from them. I just paid $150 for flea meds that are $76 on Chewy.

The front office staff is very rude and they don't even try to listen to you. The doctors are nice but the front office staff needs some extra help.
