Genevieve and her team at 5 Star Accounting & Business Solutions are top notch! This was our first time using an accountant in over 10 years. We've always done our own taxes and were a bit nervous that this was going to be more trouble than it was beneficial, but quite the opposite. We saved money and felt like we were being supported throughout the process. The software they utilize is also very easy to use Genevieve and her team were always quick to respond to questions on the chat feature or via email. Thanks so much for this wonderful experience- we will be back next year!

I went for 3 QuickBooks online training sessions and Genevieve is a pro. Patient, wrote out step-by-step instructions for me, and kindly balanced Jan - April PayPal statements. I can tell from the ease with which she navigates QuickBooks, her accounting knowledge, and her people skills, she's a real pro. You can feel confident coming here for your accounting needs. Office staff is primo, too.

Well to begin with, she billed me twice last year. Every one makes mistakes. My mistake was selecting this firm to do my taxes. I've been a customer for years, and yet her office treated me like they had no idea who I was this year. So, yes, we did agree on one thing. This is not the firm for me. Unless you like impersonal, robotic lack of service, this is not the firm for you either. Expensive and impersonal are not qualities to look for in a service organization. May I refer you to H & R Block. That's where I'm going. Genevieve fired me, nah I quit.

I am so thankful that the stars aligned me with Capital CityTax. I've had the best opportunity working with Iwan. He is very professional, and extremely easy to work with. He helped me every step of the way, and actually educated me while doing my taxes.! He was very patient with me, and helped me call my 401K to make sure I got my proper forms. I am now a customer for life. Thank you so much Iwan, you made this a great experience for myself.!

Paul is amazing! He makes sure to follow-up with his clients and ensure that they are happy and satisfied with Capital City Tax. I recommend using these guys to prepare your taxes, but please make sure to ask for Paul!! Planning to come back with my partner next year.

This review is way over do, I have been using the firm now for four years since relocating to the area. I have them run my personal and corporate tax filings with great results, Charlie is the man will definitely show interest in stationing you in the best possible position for the year or even looking at ur past returns to see if anything was missed to save your bottom line. Attention to details not rushing, not the cheapest but will worth it in taxes savings and solid fillings.

No one likes paying taxes, much less preparing them. I did my own taxes for many years but when my situation changed after an inheritance I need someone more knowledgable than me to figure them out. A close friend of mine is a CPA but I learned long ago not to do financial or legal business with a close friend... it often does not end well. He recommended Charles Carothers and I'm glad he did. I had an excellent experience with this firm. Everything everyone has said before is true so I won't repeat them. These folks have their customer-service act together, they know the tax law and regs, and I'm sure you will have as good an experience with them and I did. I will be using them for now on.

Capital City Tax in Roseville is the best I have ever experienced anywhere and the most knowledgeable of all the tax laws. They are experts at legally saving anyone money. Also, great at setting up Trust Funds and Foundations that are vehicles I thought were only for the wealthy, but can help the average person.

Charles and his staff are tops! Everyone was friendly and answered all questions. When I wrote or called with a question, I received a reply within 24 hours, usually on the same day! My taxes were done yesterday and done in expert fashion. I was very impressed with Charles, as well as his entire staff. There is no one else I would rather go to for my taxes. D. Cornell Roseville

Called to ask for assistance...Complicated situation for Turbo Tax but easy for an Account...errrrr...Got cut off by the receptionist (I assume) and in a snobby Voice "were all booked up" and then click...I understand this business may be booked up; this is my First impression and feel maybe the reviews are not accurate and possible the employers made the reviews not real customers...Cause that was not nice at all or want me to use this company in the future...Opposite of the 5 star reviews...

This is my second year with Carothers and Associates. Like so many others leaving reviews, I couldn't be happier. They are responsive to questions, fast, accurate, and extremely easy to work with; I've interacted with several of the people in the office and this is true for each of them. Adding their bookkeeping service will be next!

I contracted with this group to set up books for a non profit organization that the treasurer position went to me. Not having any experience with QB online, I was a little hesitant, but after sitting with them for training, I was much more confident that I could handle it. Once the books were up and running, we got a recommendation for a web developer that also set up registration that feeds directly into this QB account, thus eliminating what was double entry before. What a great referral! In the meantime, I have had to call on them various times for help resolving some issues that were created, and they were professional, quick to do it, made sure we had it resolved. They also do my taxes, and they are done well before the deadline, and filing was seamless. I highly recommend them to take your business to the next level!
