The store is clean but very small and a bit disorganized. The way they have the queue lined up was confusing and you have to walk in a circle twice to follow the numbered order, which was odd. The female employee that stuffed the bears we bought was lovely and kind even though another employee was rushing her the whole time to go faster, she kept calm and made sure our kiddos were happy which I appreciated. The male employee running the register was extremely rude and patronizing to both me and my wife, tried to overcharge us, did not want to help us order something that was out of stock he could order online, did not put the bears in the boxes and instead handed them to me and told me to put them in, and then almost didn’t give us the bear certificates because I forgot what names our kids put on them even though there were only four certificates sitting there and three belonged to us.

Staff did not keep their word. We were told there would be no charge to replace the voice box in our plush cat. After the work was completed, they wanted to change us. We asked why they were changing us? They told us after the work was completed that they made a mistake in telling us there was no charge. We told them to honor their word and refused and changed us anyway. Bad business and staff members. Beware of of their lack of integrity.

Took my daughter to this location on Black Friday (It was a super packed so I don't recommend going on Black Friday in the future!) She had never been and had been begging for years to go. She loves stuffed animals! So if you have a child who absolutely loves stuffed animals, this is a great unique experience for them to build their own character. I appreciate that the workers took time with each child to build each animal. That made it special. You get to pick out a little cloth heart and put it inside your character for free. They have walls and walls of clothing and accessories for the characters, which is where they really get you. It's hard to walk out without getting clothing and accessories. Make sure to sign up for the rewards program so you can earn points.

It is a great adventure for the little ones, going and choosing themselves who will be their playmate is a great experience and the employees of the place are very friendly to help with any questions.

They wouldn't let us stuff our bear at 6:40pm because they close at 7 on Sunday. There was no line and the employee stood around the store for the next 20 minutes. They could have easily stuffed our bear but customer service is definitely lacking here.

Need new workers. I stopped by to check on new outfits for my BAB and the workers seemed more interested in talking/socializing among themselves than tending to customers. Good help is hard to find.

Worst place to have a birthday party. I called the day before to make sure everything was going to be in place. When I called they couldn’t find the reservation then after 20 minutes they did. Now the only reason I had the party there was because they started a new program they called Autism Friendly and for the 1st hour it’s supposed to be a autistic friendly environment so low light low music and we were to have the Ultimate Experience party that’s $45 per person.Instead when we get there we are greeted with a rude older male who is trying to tell me there was no party’s booked for the day nor did I have one, after pulling up my email confirmation he then tried to say it wasn’t till 11:30 am but it was at 10 am.We had to go around the store by ourselves trying to figure out what bear was included the package.The other workers didn’t come in till 11:30 am.Everything that was promised for the party we did not get.The guy which I’m sorry I forgot his name but will show a photo was so rude and was yelling at the kids for “not standing where he wanted them” after I told him multiple times they were all autistic their parents were helping them since they didn’t like the big crowds but he still continued to yell when I asked the girl at the register if we can get him away from the kids she only looked at me and was like he’s the manager and I’m trying to explain to her he is not autistic friendly but she was just looking at me like I said the sky was falling.I don’t recommend having a party here or even going there.It was not worth $378.30.It will not let me post the photos

The selection of stuffies is pretty lackluster. They price the stuffies cheap, and then nickel and dime you to death with accessories until it's double the original price, or more. It's actually cheaper to get two with no accessories than one fully loaded. The available stuffies don't seem as cute as in past years either.

Worst place to have a birthday party. I called the day before to make sure everything was going to be in place. I had a feeling something was going to go wrong. Now I always have my sons party at Round table pizza but this time he wanted it at build a bear so I figured it would be ok since they started a new program that the first hour would be autistic friendly. Which means the lights and music would be lower than normal. I paid for the Ultimate Experience Package that's $45 per person. I had called the day before to confirm my reservation and good thing I did they said it was not there and kept me on hold for 20 minutes until they found it. She said everything would be good to go. .... But when we got there at 10 am because remember the first hour was supposed to be autistic friendly the guy who opened up which later I found out was the manager. Was not only trying to tell me I didn't have a party reservation, then he said he found it after a while tried to make it seem like I was at the wrong Build a bear, after showing him the email confirmation he tried to say it was at 11:30 am but again it said 10am. The two girls who worked with him got there at 11:30 am, so the whole time we were trying to figure out what came with the package and what the kids wanted. He was no help, he was so rude and unwelcoming. Once the girls got there one of them tried her best to help. What got me upset was when he kept yelling at the kids for not "standing" where he wanted them to after multiple times of me telling him they were all autistic. The parents were trying to help them since they don't like crowds and had them stand to the side but he would not listen and just kept yelling. I paid for the Ultimate Experience Package $45 per person and was promised certain things in the package which we did not get. Instead we get our kids yelled at and scared to go back. I don't know his name it's on the tip of my tongue, but I just can't think of it , I think it's Mark or Paul or something I have a photo of him. Anyway I don't recommend having a party here or even going there they are not Autistic Friendly Build a bear you need to do better.

Totally awesome! My wife and I have bought probably 25 bears from this establishment and had virtually no issues. Absolutely love it, unfortunately the only one we know of in the greater Sacramento area is in Roseville.

We take my daughter to build a bear every year on her birthday. We love build a bear but I wish they would open all the stations back up where they can pretend to give their bear a bath, there is really no reason it shouldn't be open now. We still enjoy going though

I have always loved this store for my children and grandchildren. The merchandise is good quality.The reason I only gave this store 4 stars is because they have always offered to put the free hearts, etc, inside the stuffed animal before stuffing it, and this time, I had to stop him and ask for it, although he did offer the inserts that cost money. I was with my grand daughter and wanted to put a heart inside from me to her. I would have been disappointed if he had left it out.The person that waited on us has worked there for years and should known.Aside from that, he was friendly and accommodating.

This BAB location is one of the worst locations I've been to. The staff never want to help anyone and they always have insanely long lines with only one person on reg while the other works walk around the store looking at nothing.

Took my son in for his 1st Birthday bear for only $1. It was a little busy and our first time there so we were just wondering, looking to see which specific bear we needed to get. Thats when Winston noticed our deer in headlight expressions on our faces and jumped up to help. Winston took us around showed us which bear to get, helped us put in a customized voice box and even stuffed our son's new friend. It is truly rare to get such amazing service and I don't usually post reviews but, I wanted to make the effort since Winston went out of there way to give us a great experience. Kudos to Winston and whoever hired them!!!
