I wasn't happy with my hair after I left the store yesterday. I got a blow out done. During the drying process, it smelled like my hair was burnt. My hair is on the finer side, I'm trusting and paying someone else to do my hair for me. So I expected my hairstylist to be knowledgeable and know what they are doing. In the end my hair was completely flat with no volume . So I felt like I wasted my money. I still tip because the hairstylist was friendly, but walk away not happy with my hair. I've been disappointed with the services at Ulta a few time's already. I tried different locations, thinking it may be better and it's all the same. Everyone who works in the beauty service department is inexperienced and doesn't know anything about different skin or hair types.

I get this place has shady individuals and probably has multiple robberies -- was there April 17th and saw some people steal from the next door Dollar Tree -- but I am so not one of them. Walked in, was doing okay, went to look at the makeup brushes, crouched down, and immediately had an employee (male with a hat on) come up and ask if I needed help. I said no, he leaves, and not even a couple seconds later, he comes back and tells me "Here I'm just going to hand you a basket, love". I'm not stupid and know it's a ploy to hand a basket to someone who you think is stealing. I've worked retail before. He continued walking by my aisle and turning over to look at what i was doing. I left spending $60 and another $48 on a pick up order. There was another woman there when I arrived practically laying on the floor looking through the NYX products and didn't have anyone hounding her. But god forbid I crouch to look at the bottom aisle to try to compare the prices and quality of the brushes and take my time with them. I don't even get treated like this at the one in Hastings Ranch so I still wonder what was his deal. I hope he knows is that he doesn't have to try that hard for minimum wage. Never coming back here again.

Went in store today for the Spring Haul event. Immediately, Jay greeted me warmly. Denice helped to color match my IT cosmetics purchase, offered a seat for my toddler, went to the back to get me a blush after seeing that all the ones on the shelf had been tested and then recommended a great primer for me. Jay co-signed the primer recommendation. Overall, impressed by my customer service today and wanted to say thank you!

Great products but awful pushy and petty employees. The very elderly lady at the counter could not complete a sentence without further pestering me about creating a new account. Great customer service isn't about talking behind a customers back immediately after making a purchase either.

I had a hair appointment with Allyssa last month. She was not very friendly and seemed to be in a bad mood. I was cold and uncomfortable by myself in the back of the salon. When rinsing my hair, she didn't check the temperature and the water was freezing cold. I had to tell her the water was like ice cold because she wasn't paying attention. I'll never return here. Ulta does not have professional hair stylists. Shame on you Allyssa.

BEWARE.... I booked an appointment to have my makeup done with Michelle. All week I received reminder appointments. On Saturday the morning of my event she calls in sick. So unprofessional and there was zero communication! Next time have a backup makeup artist. Start treating people, especially customers the way you'd like to be treated!

Whatever you do, AVOID THE so called "makeup artist"! I booked to have my PROM makeup done which consisted of eyeshadow and a full face. The woman who did my makeup could not get my eyeliner to match one another. My contour, bronzer, and blush, eyeshadow, PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING was absolutely HORRIBLE. I even brought makeup of my OWN so she could use it, and it was useless pretty much. My appointment was at 5pm, by the time I washed the horrendous products on my face that Ultas so called "artist" did, it was 5:30pm, and my prom started at 6pm. I left feeling very upset because I now had to go back to my house and redo my makeup. I was late to my PROM due to ultas untalented makeup artist. If i could rate my experience a 0/10, best believe I would!

I was reading all the horrible reviews while on the way to Ulta and couldn't understand why.. I needed to pick up a couple items before my trip tomorrow and I was in the area so I decided to stop by. I was circling around the makeup section looking for the Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation (my holy grail for YEARS AND YEARS now) and I just couldn't find it. I walked through every aisle and section and just couldn't find it. I was getting frustrated at that point because I'm either an idiot and I can't read or they don't carry it. While walking through the aisles, I couldn't help but overhear a conversation one of the employee (Ashley) and a customer was having (she was seated at the makeup studio chairs where they take you to try testers for color matching). I know it's not nice to ease drop but they weren't exactly being quiet about it either.. I'm zipping through the aisles and they could see me, clearly looking for something and they're just talking about BBL's and which doctor to go to... the "customer" was worried that her legs would be too skinny and won't match the hypothetical BBL she wanted to get... omg *face palm* I wouldn't have mind if she was truly needing assistance but she was just sitting there, yapping away with one of the FEW employees. I walked the entire store before I found SOPHIA (All caps because she deserves the recognition). She was restocking a couple items but I kindly asked if she could help me out. I told her what I was looking for and even though she told me they don't carry Estee Lauder at this location, I didn't mind because she was so kind and listed the surrounding stores that do carry it. Since they didn't have what I was looking for, I kindly asked her to color match me for another brand. I also expressed my concern of foundations oxidizing and so, by the end of the night, my foundation wouldn't match my skin tone.. like I got ready in the dark or something. She recommended a brightening powder. So, I grabbed that from her as well. By the end of my visit, I didn't get what I initially came here for, but I left with a new primer, foundation, concealer and brightening powder. And I'm pretty happy with my purchases. Not to mention, I was super happy with the service SOPHIA provided.

I throw $100 to the trash comming here.My makeup was nothing like the pictures I showed the lady.I looked terrible but I was so embarrassed to tell her how disappointed I was.I went home and washed my face, then I did my own makeup for the wedding.
