My 2017 iMac 27" suddenly crashed and I was at a loss of what to do. I reached out to a few other people/repair businesses due to them being the first ones that popped up on google. I explained my situation and the results I got from the disk utility repair - and it was suggested to me to reach out to Tam for this specific type of repair. Tam was quick to respond to my first inquiry, and was great with communication while he had my computer. I'd confidently recommend Tam to any friends who were looking for Apple repair work.

I could not possibly say enough nice things about Tam and Mac Advantage! I have been using them as my computer repair place for a couple of decades now. I have never been disappointed or sorry about any aspect of their work. I always appreciate a business that will tell me when some repair is not actually going to end up being worth it. This is one of those places! Tam is one of those guys! The prices are very fair & Tam & his team know when something is worth fixing and how to do it. And he knows when it's not worth it. My most recent encounter with Mac Advantage was when I called from the road. I had tried every other avenue from where I was, across the country. Including that I had spent over an hour on the phone with Apple computer. On a whim and as a last effort, I called Tam. He emailed me back with a link that guided me through the process to fix the problem I had been having for weeks within 10 minutes! That was just one of many, many times I have had such an experience with him and his company! If 10 stars was an option, I'd give 15.

I have been taking my business and personal computers to Tam since starting a business in 2008, and we have always been very happy with his work. I just took my personal MacBook to him for a tune up since it starting acting a little funny. He had an appointment for me within 24hrs, and got my computer back to me the day after I dropped it off. My computer is now back to running quickly and smoothly! Prompt, consistent, quality work, thank you Tam :)

Long time family customer. Tam has always taken care of us and our technology. We've bought many refurbished second hand computers from him as well. I can not begin to tell you how many times he and his team have saved our work and our lively hoods with their quick turn around and quality work. Great experience!

My baby macbook air (11inches, mid-2012) had battery issues since 2015. Every time I brought it with me it would have trouble starting up. Admittedly, I dropped it a few times but thankfully it's resilient and still serves me 8yrs going! I thought I needed the battery to be replaced but Tam fixed the issue and saved me from having to purchase a new battery! I super appreciate that since covid times and I'm also starting grad school. Tam is great and I'm so glad I got helped by him! Thanks again, Tam! Would totally come back for future help.

At one time they were the go to place in the region. However, they are no longer open for business. Their website of the last year states that they are temporarily closed. So sad.

I'm surprised I did not write a review on Tam and his crew! Been going to him for over a decade and will always return unless he moves away or is hired by NASA... That stated, the saying that you can tell if a person loves the work that they do by how great the finished product is reflects highly on Tam and his young crew! If only APPLE could operate like him! We've bought our current iMac from him a few years ago and when we had a huge issue last year with our iPhotos (ugggh) HE was able to use his magic (w/o a wand) and voila!!! we got our photos back! Unfortunately, our OS system is not current to use the recent photo software since Apple went away from iPhoto (sighs) but Tam was able to fix it - and do what we thought was impossible. We thought we had lost thousands of photos and important documents but NO!!! Super-Tam came to the rescue! Maybe he should have a cape and suit because he IS a superman! I will always use MacAdvantage and YOU SHOULD TOO! Not everyone knows the computer systems and understands them inside and out like he does. Thank you Tam and crew for over 15+ years of helping people like me and people not like me! We are blessed with Tam. When he smiles - it's sunshine coming from him! Trust the 5 star reviews. Tam is great and by far the best Mac repair guy in the North Bay. I took my MacBook Air to the Genius Bar at the Apple Store in the Santa Rosa mall. As Sheldon Cooper said on Big Bang Theory: it is a "devaluation of the word genius." Those idiots told me my logic board was fried, a $500+ repair. I had recently had a new SS hard drive installed at MyiPhoneRepair. 10 days later my laptop crashed and would not start up. I bought and installed a new battery which I've needed anyway. Tam diagnosed that the drive had failed, and because that drive is still under warranty, I took it back to Justin at MyiPhoneRepair (who is also great by the way, in fact, he recommended Tam & MacAdvantage). Tam would have replaced the drive but since it was under warranty, Justin is doing the repair. Tam diagnosed the problem. Kudos to him. If you've got a Mac and want to save it, go to this guy. Thanks Tam.
