At the Cotati branch I had an appointment to open a new Certificate of Deposit account with proceeds from the sale of a house. Significant funds. Instead of being taken to a banker desk on the side of the lobby, a chair was dragged over and placed right in front of a teller window (in the lobby) where she asked me to sit while she stood and opened the account. After I expressed concerns for privacy she agreed to move to a banker desk. The customer service and lack of appreciation shown for my business was poor.

A business I work with has an account at Exchange bank. It took weeks for them to create a log in for me. I had to call and email multiple times. I would not personally bank here nor would I recommend them to anyone. From what I understand the bank was founded in 1890 and still functions like it's 1890. I was able to open an account and leave Redwood Credit Union with a debit card in hand same day! Exchange bank's merchant services are embarrassingly slow as well.

I work at safeway everyone buys food at safeway. I went to every bank in rohnert park to buy dimes for safeway we were completely out exchange bank was the only one whose teller was not only rude but told me unless I had an account she couldn't even sell .me one roll of dimes. Every other bank In the entire town of rohnert park sold me dimes because we are community and everyone needs us to be open except exchange bank.the lady was actually so rude it was gross.

Oh my goodness. I went to cash a check there today written by an Exchange Bank customer. The check was for $6,500. I was informed by a rude teller that their non-customer check-cashing limit was $4,900. This is understandable, so it was not a huge deal, but before I had left the counter, another rude teller, or maybe a manager, condescendingly and loudly suggested I go to a check-cashing place down the street. Like sure, I'm going to pay $200+ to cash a check. I ended up depositing it in my bank, and it clears the next business day. Anyway, my point of this is I always see the Exchange Banks around and their friendly advertising, and was even considering opening an account there sometime, because I like the local-bank thing, but definitely not now. Maybe it was a bad day for them, and / or maybe it's just this branch, but what a horrible and humiliating experience it was. They treated me like an unwelcome guest and someone trying to do something wrong by trying to cash a check from a large business that is based in Rohnert Park and banks with Exchange bank. Shame on you guys. I own a local business in Rohnert Park too, and I'll be sure to pass the word about this branch whenever I get the chance, as well as contact the writer of the check regarding my experience. I understand and respect their non-customer check-cashing limit. It's logical. I was just unaware of it. But when they inform someone about this, a friendly apology and informative statement goes over much better than a condescending smirk and loud comment.

Have been a customer of Exchange bank for over 40 years...I try to patronize local and Exchange Bank is a winner! The people working there are great, service is great! The few times I have had a bit of a problem they stepped right up and fixed it! They are very civic minded....Cannot imagine using a different bank! Go Exchange Bank! No need to worry with aexchznge Bank!?

This is the only bank in the area with a drive through. It's very convenient. I have banked here for 8 years and they have always helped me with any issue I've had. They are kind and polite.

I came back from a vacation to receive a call from my Landlord that he had not received my rent check, which had been scheduled to pay from Exchange Bank Pop Money since 2017. It seems that when they went over to their new digital banking, the check did not go out because they eliminated the external service that did Pop Money. When I went on the website, I saw that it showed up in Bill Pay but all the data had changed. Talking to them on the phone about it did not resolve the issue. If I wanted to put a Rush on the payment, it would cost $19 and if I wanted them to just send out the check, it would not be there until 8/12. So I am going to write a check myself and put it in the mail, and then I am going to open an account somewhere else and move my money out. As far as I can tell, here is no such thing as customer service with these folks.

I like Exchange and I like banking at a local bank...in particular I like their drive thru services...the "folks" in the bank have always been helpful and courteous and now know me pretty well. What I don't like is their online services and weird charges for depositing checks via phone app...as a small business person I would like to make deposits digitally from my office but $.50 a check?...come on now... or charges for giving you check images with your statement (recent)...it is irritating and so behind the technology times...they need an upgrade to more fluid technology rather then using a third party to run their online services and remove the irritating charges....I will still stay with them for now but as soon as Summit or another local bank upgrades...I will be moving
