822 5th St, Santa Rosa“We are obsessed with the Sonoma Land Trust. They exist to protect the land and conserve nature and wildlife. We go as often as we can and always bring friends. They offer community activities that are amazing and family-friendly. Our favorites are the outings and events which occur regularly out on the land. From the website: From mountain treks to botany crawls, bird watching to kayaking, there are many ways to join us on the land. We also offer lectures and events throughout the year where you can spend time with a community of people dedicated to preserving the land. If you join the Land Trust as a member you can go on their member-only hikes, which sometimes include hiking on properties that are closed to the public which makes them feel even more special. The public hikes are also informative and a ton of fun, even for kids, we went on a family hike that included learning to do wildlife tracking using animal footprints. Membership doesn't cost much, it's totally worth it, and it's such a great cause to support. Their website isn't listed on Yelp so here it is. The Bay Area is beautiful. Enjoy!”

3227 Santa Rosa Ave unit a, Santa Rosa“Unbelievable customer service. Had a young man come right out to my car to help me unload. Never had that type of service before. So easy to hand over a printer that Goodwill would not take. Thank you so much for being so accommodating”
“They are so accommodating. It took me 3 tries to trap the cat, and they never got mad at me for canceling the 1st 2 appointments. Super great organization. Great staff.”
“Beautiful facility and location. Was a guest here for a few hours in the morning as part of the Laguna Foundation vernal pools volunteer day. So happy to help out on restoring and preserving this chunk of land.”
“This organization's primary purpose is to protect the Laguna de Santa Rosa, an important watershed that starts at Cotati and flows into the Russian River. They educate the public in general as well as school aged children. Classes about different aspects of nature are often held and they often have art on display in Heron Hall. They are a GREAT organization doing important with for the environment.”
“Good multi-use performance space. All sight lines are good, the area is high and open, but smaller - seats approx 100 max. Acoustics (natural and amplified) were distortion and echo free. Staff is helpful, professional, and friendly.”

951 Petaluma Blvd S, Petaluma“I worked my whole life and was priced out of San Francisco, I retired at 68 and signed up with PEP Housing for low income Seniors 5 years ago. I was recently assigned an apartment at Kellgren Senior Apts. in Petaluma and love the location the great apartments as well as the PEP housing staff.”
“I discovered the center when I first arrived in Santa Rosa. I can't describe the feeling exactly, but walking into the center made me feel joy, excitement, and that I'd found home. It reminds me of old Portland! I'm donating to help the center survive the pandemic and I hope you do too.”

403 Mecham Rd, Petaluma“These guys are great!!! I found a baby squirrel with his eyes still shut today on the job. I do creek patrol. The little squirrel who I named little buckaroo was on the ground and this guy who was there as I walked up was poking him with a stick. He left when I walked up, I suspect because I'm in my uniform plus I moved in between him and the squirrel, Anyway, I looked around for mama squirrel for about 20 minutes but nothing, so I got gloves and picked him up and put him on a tree which he struggled to hold himself there so I put him in my hand and he curled up.I searched online and called Sonoma County Wildlife and Rescue and after sending them pictures of the squirrel, which they needed to confirm it was actually a squirrel, they responded with, we need him ASAP, so I headed straight there and and did the intake paperwork, left a donation for his care and I was on my way. They gave me an intake number so I will be able to check up on his progress which I will do. The cool thing is he's safe and when he's strong enough and healthy, they will be taking him and releasing him back to the location I found him. I really appreciate SCWR for their services that they do for wildlife❤️ much love to you guys ❤️”
“This is by far Petaluma's best thrift store, and for a noble cause. Christmastime is amazing! Get there as soon as they hit the floor. I've purchase some of my favorite clothes there!”

Onto the street I wish the kept the one in Linton springs road it was great. To go there on a Saturday”
“I have been there before while working . Usually I avoid talking about personal beliefs at work , but because I have been interested In Buddhism since I read Siddartha as a kid and had a Thai fiancé at the time I asked if we could come here so she could feel more at home , the response I got was more than welcoming. I think Many people here have "Jai Di Maak Maak" , unfortunately never made it back , but plan on it soon.”

2965 Dutton Ave, Santa Rosa“Wonderful organization. I got my service dog Gavin from there. I'm glad that they were generous with me all these years and supported me through these challenging times. I could not be more proud of them for all for giving me the support that I really needed the most.”
“Everyone has to realize the women working here- are volunteering their time and energy to be there. They are not getting paid. The proceed go to scholarship funds. The store has some cute items, but just like any thrift store, you'll have to browse for everything. It smells a like old dusty times & clothes because (gasp!) they are! Everything has been donated. The workers aren't going to go and wash the clothes again. So let's please show these hardworking volunteers some grace. The volunteers are all very sweet and cute. They are friendly and try their best to help. The store has been reorganized and separated to clothing, household goods, etc. Whenever I'm in town, I like to browse and usually find something good.”
“Came to my first Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival and can't say enough great things about the experience! The "Curtain Raiser Event" included the amazingly told story of "Dusty and The Stones", a Q &A with the director, Jesse Rudoy and delicious BBQ with side dishes. ? For the ambitious crowd, there was optional line dance lessons! This was a highlight ✨️ ?”

1455 Corporate Center Pkwy, Santa Rosa“My sister. who is severely handicapped, has gone to BI since its inception over 40 years ago. She loves going there and if anyone is not good to her she would let me know. It makes her heart sing. She looks forward to going back when in-person services are available. I emphasize with the parents who have written the other reviews who feel that that their children are not getting what they would hope post their school system experience. As a former high-up school system administrator, please understand the BI gets about 25% of the revenue to serve you child that the schools receive. BI's employees don't have the salary, benefits, retirement system of the schools so BI cannot retain them in the same way. This is not to say that you should not want your child to flourish as an adult. But there is only so much BI can be expected to do under the circumstances. I think that BI is fundamentally a good organization and hope that you, like me, will donate to it. It is the best option available that I know of in the market it serves.”
9AM - 6PM
1821 Piner Rd Suite A, Santa Rosa“I found out about this place on my Nextdoor app. I normally take my donations to the Goodwill but the last time they wouldn't take several items ( like new cookbooks, brand new garden drip hose, plastic sealable bowls, etc). So I gave this place a call and within a couple of days they came to my home to PICK UP EVERYTHING. They Just asked to have the items in boxes that are closed so they can be stacked. I heard later about the good things they do for their employees. I'll have to pay a visit to their store.”
“SVdP Sonoma Thrift on Redwood Drive is nice & is their district headquarters.
Picked up a used wooden bed frame, & they sell new mattress & box springs too.
Sorta crazy in back with donations & pick up going on at the same time.”
