I had very high hopes when I first contacted Tidwell & Associates. After explaining my unique tax situation, I was assured in no uncertain terms that I would be walked through every step of the process to ensure everything was properly filed.Tax day came and went, and it took days for me to reach anyone on the phone.Months later, I've now learned that the information I was given was incorrect and that I was almost poised to go into collections due to the misinformation given to me by Tidwell & Associates.Given what I paid for their services, this has been a terrible experience. While I do now have everything that was promised set up, getting any sort of assistance from anyone was like pulling teeth and not all information given to me was correct.Go elsewhere.

My wife and I met with Mike Wells recently to discuss potential tax issues of a recently deceased relative. Mike took the time to review our situation, ask a lot of questions, then give us a couple of different options on how to proceed. One of those options would even result in not using his company, as the costs outweighed the benefits. We came away from this meeting (a free consultation) with a much better understanding of our options. We were thoroughly impressed with Mike's knowledge and professionalism. He made this a most comfortable and informative meeting.

I went in for the first time and dealt with Mike about some IRS issues. He spent almost an hour going over everything and left me with a clear cut plan to move forward. He also explained everything in layman terms so I could understand. He wouldn't accept any payment even after I said that's not fair to him! Guess who'll be doing my taxes from now on? Mikes the best

Tidwell & Associates is an amazing firm.I needed some guidance on tax planning and they were perfect. The offices and staff were welcoming and professional. I met with Mike Wells who was extremely knowledgeable, prepared, and friendly. After reviewing my situation he presented me with options that I hadn’t considered and helped me make a much better plan. He also provided me with resources to take home to help me further.I'm looking forward to working with them in the future, they are wonderful. Mike Wells was amazing to work with. I was interested in renting out my home and wanted to know the tax implications that went along with that. It started with an inquiry on their website and immediately got a response from Mike. I was blown away. We setup a time to talk in person. Upon arrival, the staff greeted me like I was family. Offering me drinks and snacks and made me feel very welcome in the office. I sat down with Mike and we talked about my financials and he answered all my questions. He did not rush through anything and spent the time explaining the entire process running through different scenarios. I've never gone into a place with questions and left completely satisfied and actually understand the answers provided. He is gifted in dumbing down the tax law into laymans terms for me who knows nothing about it. Highly recommend working with them for your tax needs! Call them now.

I was referred to Ivan Tidwell through the Dave Ramsey website. I was looking for someone to look over our taxes which we had done at H&R Block for the last few years. Ivan was great. He looked at everything I brought, alleviated my fears that something was off and answered questions I had regarding our tax deductions. In the end he told me that I was paying to much to have our taxes done and that we could be doing it ourselves for much less money. He was willing to help us but told us he would charge about the same as H&R Block. He recommended we try TurboTax and save ourselves $300+. In the end he didn't charge me for his time. When/if things get more complicated or we need tax assistance I will definitely be returning to see Ivan!

I've been a client with Tidwell and Associates for well over 7 or 8 years now and am an extremely satisfied customer.
They began by simply preparing our tax returns, but have provided numerous other services including helping us navigate an IRS audit with flying colors as well as helping my staff and I better organize and clean up our Quick-books accounting software. They continue to act in a support role as needed to help us with any Accounting or tax questions that arise throughout the year.
This year, Kevin proactively reached out to me to remind me April 15th is quickly approaching. That gentle reminder got me in gear so we wouldn't have to file an extension. My taxes were done within two days of getting them my documents! The cherry on top? I've got a nice refund coming this year!
If you're looking for an accounting firm that gives top notch service, communicates well, and has reasonable rates, check them out.

We were recommended to Tidwell & Associates about 10 years ago and they've done a great job of taking care of our business and personal tax returns. Very professional and they've filed extensions for me that have saved my butt many times from being late with government forms.
