I was in a panic as I called Safeway Customer Service @ 3pm on a friday as I was in need of 90 $100 gift cards for a company function by MONDAY .. I had the pleasure of dealing with LEAH who went above & beyond to take care of me in my time of need .. she had me come right down & pulled 90 gift cards off the shelf & proceeded to activate each one in a timely matter counting back each one as well as double checking price & accuracy on top of helping multiple other customers who were wanting Carpet Machine Rentals, Money Orders, & Western Union transactions etc and patiently one by one she helped them with a smile in between my transactions. I just had to commend Leah for her professionalism & positive can do attitude she truly made our day .. Thank you so much LEAH & Happy Holidays ! From all of us here @ AUDI ROCKLIN

The kid watching the self check out didn't have a clue. Wouldn't even try to help me. It was like I was irritating him for having a question. What has happened to customer service.

Since I move to this area this safeway has a problem with keep expired food on the shelves. I stopped coming here because of it. I also became disabled so i can only get my food delivered...i tried this morning because they were the only place open as early as i need some things. I got expired food. It's not okay to keep expired food on the shelves. I will be reporting this store because this isn't the first, second or third time...this store shouldn't be in business if they're gonna keep selling expired food on the shelves. I can't look at the expectations dates either since im not the one shopping so the shopper doesn't know to look for it.

Went to get a sandwich and when I asked for pepper jack the kid said he would have to go slice some. Told him " it's OK. What else do you have?" and he said Swiss. told him that was alright but it seems like they never have pepper jack prepped and he BLEW up on me talking about how they're understaffed. Unprofessional behavior.

We were in the area last Saturday and wanted to get some snack foods. The store was clean and not too busy. We found everything that we wanted and made our way to the check stands. Purchasing only Club Card discounted items, the cashier was surprised that our savings was greater than what we paid.

The new deli manager saved my life, I placed a massive order for pick up on super bowl and she was able to make it happen. I will always come back to this Safeway. 10/10 super star deli manager.

It is what it is, a crappy grocery store with very little pros. Definitely don't do grocery pick up from here, you won't receive items but still get charged and have to deal with it for weeks.

I am not necessarily speaking about the entire store, just one employee. Safeway had an item on sale that is hard to find. By the time I knew it was on sale, I got there too late, and they were out. Tammy took my name and phone number and said she would call if they ever got it in. She called the next day and had 2 of them for me on hold. I asked the other Safeway stores in the area to do the same thing, and they wouldn't do it. Tammy provides 5 star customer service. Thanks so much.

If you ever wanted to work in a grocery store , this is your place to shop !.... No help, one checker, sort thru mediocre produce to find the edibles, search the aisles as there is no one to ask for help. Good luck !

After putting up many reviews and talking to the owner and Albertsons there has been no change at the store . It's been 2 months and you can not tell me that there is no time for cleaning and making sure that customers feel safe to buy there food. Here are some pictures I took yesterday.

Really not someone who usually complains but especially with the cost of groceries its very frustrating to buy meat thats not even expired and its already bad. Happens all the time at this store.

Most of the produce, especially the organic veggies, is rotten. No one checks the fruit/veggie conditions; they just put new fruits/veggies on top of the older rotten produce. It is so frustrating to get home and have to return to exchange produce

I gave them five stars for customer service. Two times when there was a problem (once, not putting all my items in my bag, and the second time some hot dog buns I bought were moldy inside once I took them out), they apologized and did very nice things that were going above and beyond and gave me extras to make up for it. Some other grocery stores don't even say they're sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you Safeway for taking good care of your customers.

Terrible. Always has been but I thought I'd try it again today after about 6 months. Mistake! Employees are arguing while a line of people wait. Todays visit reminded me of exactly why I do not come here.

Thank you Jessica and Meg for making my shopping experience so much more pleasant! I shop at Safeway as this is my go to grocery store because it's convenient and really has great produce. I sometimes get confused about the digital coupons, but downloaded the Safeway app along time ago to be familiar and avoid paper clutter coupons and I really try to make sure I have everything aligned prior to being rung up. I get really embarrassed when I try to figure out why prices don't match up because then post transaction I need to wait in customer service line to see the matter and so often, I just say forget it and go home because I just don't have time and I don't want to make a big fuss for a couple dollars. This time I was at the self check out line and first item already had price discrepancy. I flagged the attendant to help me figure out why the first item already had a price mismatch from my Just4U coupon that I clearly added to my list. The young gentleman was very nice, but he did not know what to do and the lady who was overseeing it told me to go to the register. I had already waited for the self checkout line and now I waited at the register for a cashier. Meg told me to go to the items that I already added to my list and from my list check them again to gain rewards, this I really didn't know I had to add twice for rewards?! I'm so grateful for the knowledge. Jessica and Meg were so gracious, kind, and extremely understanding on the confusion so after that transaction that really started off as anxiety stricken became best customer experience at register ever!
