Looked at their webpage, and was impressed. Then visited the store, and was not. I went for interior trim. No customers, and Home Depot had a better selection. If you like MDF, go there. If not forget them. No actual wood trim in stock.

Bought my deck framing, decking, and railing from Homewood 4 years back. Great company to work with, very knowledgeable about their products. Spent a ton of money there, happily.
Needed to add some railing to my front deck and wanted to match the railing from the back. Took the old invoice with me, asked for them to order me the same for the front. What I was sent was not even the same size for some of the parts. I downloaded direct from the railing manufacturers website the product data forms. There were many options that I was told in the store were not even available. Took everything back with a detailed list of exactly what I needed with the manufacturers part numbers. Waited several weeks, with me checking in every few days about a new quote and the status of my refund. Eventually was told that the refund would happen but I was charged $225 for re-stocking (even though most of the incorrect items were ordered wrong or misrepresented by Homewood) and that they had never worked up a new quote, even though I gave them the manufacturers parts numbers.
So in the end, a month later, 8+ hours of my time, and less $225.....I have no railing.
What a terrible company. Used to be great, man have they fallen down flat on their face. I will take my business elsewhere. Never again.
Update: manager finally called me. Issued a credit for the restocking and apologized for everything. Manager did get me a quote for the railing I needed. Ridiculously high but did finally get the quote over. Still not happy, huge waste of time but they did what they could to try to make it right. YMMV

People are nice but they don’t have anything to sell. Home Depot has a better selection of lumber.

I was sent to Homewood with a list of lumber to replace some trim boards on our house. It's an older house, so of course, the size of the boards were different. Got tothe counter and was met by Sean. He was so patient with me. I was given a list, a very confusing list, by the guy doing the work. Sean was fantastic.I kept him busy for awhile. Very nice experience. Thanks Sean.

Prices are competitive. The indoor staff is helpful. However, the outdoor staff seems to be lazy and less than helpful. The man at the gate has poor customer service.

It looks like the store is still trying to get its bearings from switching over feom meeks. Went looking for some lumber for a couple of current projects. The staff was very helpful with directing me to all of the materials we needed and helping fill the order. All of the lumber that we needed from the yard was in good condition which is hard to get with the way the woodmarket is now.
