We've been coming here for at least a year. I'm not sure the exact length of time, but I mention this because I'm prefacing this review with a TBD. These allergy injection treatments take a couple of years to see results, so we're still waiting to find out if it works. So far, I've been really pleased with the following things. 1. The staff are always super nice and helpful. 2. They have a phone number where we can text pictures of our dog's breakouts so the doctor can look at it quickly without us having to drive an hour round trip to come in. 3. They are the only business in the area that still requires masks, and as someone who is still experiencing symptoms from having covid once, I really really appreciate this! My pitbull has really serious skin issues, and the medications they have prescribed have cleared up the issues in the short-term which is great. We're also on the injections, which are longer term, and this is just for her allergy issues. We have a different vet for everything else. Luckily all of the treatments we've gotten here have been covered by pet insurance, so I feel lucky we've found this place.

Unlike the other places we have visited, this clinic is definitely a top-notch! The women vets were respectful of the fact that our dog does not do well with men vets. As a result, not only was our pet feeling no stress, but she also warmed up to the workers and approached them on her own! And, mind you, she is EXTREMELY protective of her owner. So, that right there goes to show how awesome the Animal Dermatology & Allergy facility is! If I could give a hundred stars rate, I would've absolutely done it! Thank you very much for your time!

The staff is very friendly and caring. The Dr is very kind, takes her time in explaining options and answering questions. If your pet is suffering from allergies or dermatology issues, I highly recommend this clinic.

Great customer service, excellent response time and efficient pet care. We especially appreciate how meticulous and proficient Dr Sakai is with the treatment of our cat who suffers from an autoimmune disease. Things turned the corner ever since we brought him here and his health has been improving ever since. Worth the drive to Rocklin!

Another annual visit logged for my sweet Sunday. Dr. Sakai saw Sunday yesterday, we just love her. Dr. Sakai evaluated Sunday and we went through any updates in the last year. Found some concerning news but this is why we do annual visits. The staff here is always A+. Every interaction I have had with them has been positive. They have taken care of our prescription refills by mail and our appiontment reminders are helpful as I schedule her appointments months in advance. You always know what to expect. Once in the office Sunday is loved on and taken care of. I appreciate they refill my bravecto prescription for the year so I dont' have to make return trips. It's a 1.5 hour trip to the office, but it's worth it.

Dr. Sakai and team are excellent. Everybody that works there is professional, friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable in their job. Dr. Sakai is very thoughtful, practical, and really listens. While pet health is paramount, they address budget and your capability to follow through with treatment.The worst thing about this clinic is getting in as a new patient because there are no other animal dermatologists in the area. They work with you and your referring veterinarian to meet your needs, but you have to be flexible to be able to come in when they can get you in.

Dr. Sakai and her team are amazing. I have a dog who was having some ongoing pad problems. They were falling off all the time and his quality of life was bad. After showing he had no auto immune or environmental allergies we were grasping at straws. After a biopsy being sent to UC Davis, we were no closer to an answer. She worked diligently with her peers to figure out what was going on. He has a rare condition called split pad paw disease that has since been in remission because he is being treated with proper medication. I don't think he would still be with us (he just turned 4) without the great team at Animal Dermatology.

I guess I was expecting something different than a regular vet clinic. I was told that Dr. Sakai was the only allergy specialist in Northern California and that was the reason for my 6 month appointment wait. I was so hopeful with Dr. Sakai because I thought there would be answers as to what was the cause to my dog constantly getting hotspots. Dr. Sakai suggested that I feed my dog an isolated diet, and recommended Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diet Elemental. I should have know that this food was a bust when the first ingredient on there is CORN. Not only that, but my dog who eats everything would not touch this stuff. After a week of being frustrated, I took her off this food and switched her to Carni4. Also, Dr. Sakai and nobody from her clinic even followed up to see how my dog was doing on this new diet they suggested. I just got an email two months later saying the food they sold me was recalled by Purina and I should toss it. I guess that explains why my dog wouldn't eat it. What a waste of time and also a waste of money. (BTW - they told me to contact Purina directly to get a refund on the food, didn't even offer to give me my money back for the bad food they sold me). Just so disheartened by the whole experience.

Clean and friendly staff. Would be 5 stars but vet didn’t know that animals with allergies can develop allergic reactions to elimination diet foods.

We had a great time. Workers were all very nice though there were few of them, the facility needs some maintenance and repair. Wish the owner would invest in updating and innovation. This place could really be a jewel with some TLC by the owner.

We are so grateful for this clinic! Our dog has environmental allergies and Dr. Sakai and her phenomenal vet techs have been so incredibly helpful in getting his ear and skin symptoms controlled. They are extremely responsive, easy to communicate with, and have always squeezed us in quickly when our dog needed to be seen.

Really like this place. Our cocker spaniel got an infection and swelling in both her ears. One of the few places that were able to treat her after a lot of research. They're very nice and good with communicating with you. Most importantly, they were able to make a plan that has helped to significantly reduce the swelling and it's still coming down. Initially another vet there recommended surgery to fix it but would leave her deaf. We were fine indefinitely having our dog on meds since it wasn't painful to her. They prescribed her some meds that are helping a lot.

I'm shocked. My poor hairless kitten has a rash all over and he needs medical attention, but the clinic does not have free days for an appointment until November. they offered help in 2 days at the price of emergence, but the kitten is already feeling bad. a doctor in a regular clinic cannot find the cause of the allergy and cannot help even for $$. why such a clinic if it is not available to help poor animals?

This veterinarian office was the first to really try and find out the cause of my cat’s scratching and biting skin issues. I was feeling very hopeless before Dr. Sakai and team clearly laid out our treatment options for what they suspected to be causing Archie his itchiness and got us on the right track. Archie is doing amazing now, and if we didn’t find Animal Dermatology & Allergy I feel that other less specialized vets may have never found the solution.
