Hands down, the best tax preparers in Riverside! My wife and I have used Wood's Tax Service for 14 years, after receiving their advertising card in the mail in 2010. They're a small, family-owned business--professional, efficient and competent--well established in the community; they've received "best service" awards in each of the last several years. Tax preparation is something we look forward to every year as the atmosphere created in their office is warm and friendly. Trisha genuinely cares about her clients. She is very highly qualified in what she does. Wood's Tax Service is recommended with many more than the 5 stars Google allows!

I spoke on the phone before I drop my 22 forms off and told them that I had a trust and a personal account and that I wanted a quote. They had it for three days. I had to call them on a Friday, today, and they tell me they don't do trust! So they had my 22 returns for three days and now I have to wait for the following week to find someone that can do my returns. I lost the week. Because somebody in their office decided it wasn't important enough to call me. Also, they were more expensive than my previous accountant, who retired.

My first time filing taxes with Woods Tax Service and let me tell you, absolutely amazing. I looked up tax services through yelp, Woods Tax came up read the reviews, Friday afternoon during lunch I called to see if an appointment was available after work. Melissa answered the phone, was polite professional patient and considerate. She helped me book an appointment with Ashley. I let Melissa know my current situation working with LADWP and with my daughter and let her know I would appreciate having someone break taxes down according to my situation. Ashley was absolutely phenomenal, answered all my questions thoroughly and clearly. I asked her to dumb it down for me because I don't know anything about taxes. Ashley was also very polite professional considerate and knowledgeable in her profession. Customer service was outstanding. I now know where to go for my taxes. Thank you to the Woods Tax Service Team Really appreciate all of you and your work.

Overall what I'd expect from a professional tax service. Efficient for sure and it is great that they have a list of items to gather prior to scheduling an appointment. Customer service wise, I can tell they provide good service. My appointment was fifteen minutes behind because they were still tending to a previous appointment. Cool for the person they were servicing cutting in to my appointment time, not so cool for me waiting, but again even that is expected as this has been the norm for me at the previous tax professional I've worked with the past 10+ years. I get working with people can go quick at times or it can go over, understandable. Knowledgeable and answered my questions satisfactorily. What caused me to come here this year is my previous tax pro is in LA and they were a bit messy with my scheduled appointment this year so I opted to try someone new and closer. Not at all dissatisfied with my decision to work with Woods. It is extremely close to my home and again overall they are what I expect from a tax pro. The only ding hindering a five star is their price is almost triple what I'm accustomed to paying for tax prep services. The drive to LA is almost worth it alone to save two thirds the cost of what I was charged here. After calling around prior to scheduling I had no idea tax prep costs that much out here these days. I guess I was locked in at a good price with my previous tax prep pro considering I've been going to him for many years. Glad they accepted the check in offer of 10% off via Yelp. Hopefully all goes well and the IRS does not contact me this year. To be determined if I'll be back here or return to my previous tax prep pro in LA next year but if at that time I'm not up for a drive to LA to save some money I'll be back here for sure.

Excellent service. I strongly recommend this firm. I was able to remotely upload my documents and sign my documents through Docusign. The prices are also very inexpensive.

Great place for taxes! I just had opened up my LLC last year and Trisha helped me through my filing. I provided all necessary documents and she did her magic. She asked me a bunch of things too to help me understand the process and how to better prepare for next year. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I have had our taxes prepared by Wood's Tax Service since 2015. Our son also goes to them as well. Trisha has taken us through an estate liquidation, a trust dispersement, inheritance taxes and assorted financial issues with her expertise and competence. She is very knowledgable and answers all our questions. Having our taxes done can be stressful, but Trisha and the other staff members are always pleasant and put us at ease. I would not hesitate to recommend Wood's Tax Service to family and friends (and have). And, bonus, they give a $10 referral fee to anyone we send their way!
