Riverside Vons. I am reviewing for pickup ordering. Tried once during pandemic. had to go back because they forgot to give me a bag. Went back a second time because they missed something I really needed. Tried today ordered fine sugar - got regular. ordered smallest mayo to take camping - got 22 ounces! ordered cut onions - no substitutes available to offer me (hello? regular yellow onions)

All I have to say is what's up with the attitudes of the workers in the Riverside and Central store. I am not asking to become friends or even asked to dinner, I would just like to be treated and respected as a paying customer.

The vons Deli on Central in Riverside did me a HUGE disservice. On Thursday February 25th , close to noon, I stopped by the Deli to get SLICED SIRLOIN ROASTBEEF.. it was not in the Deli display so I showed the gal on my phone the text of exactly what I needed..and she went to a back room and got a new unit of beef.. she didn't show me the label or anything and sliced it up. However, when I got home and we went to make and eat our sandwiches, we noted its THE WRONG ROAST BEEF... instead, she gave me Primo Taglio Roast beef. It's awful, and WAY TOO SALTY for us to eat. I had purchased 2 lbs , so she gave me $28.00 worth of THE WRONG STUFF. She was also the MOST impersonal employee to work in the Deli. She barely could manage to glance at me, while she and a co-worker guy were busy pointing at (several times) and talking about this tall very skinny woman customer in a straight summer dress , as she walked by. I thought it was extremely rude and didn't know why they were doing this. At the moment I'm still very angry and disgusted with her giving me $28.00 worth of roastbeef we can't eat!! How much worse could an experience and service at Vons possibly get?! I hope that Vons management will look into this. I feel robbed!!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have never felt this way coming out of a grocery store. The people working there are not kind at all. After a really long hard day of spending it at the hospital, I came to get my shopping done. I got to the register and was greeted with a cashier and her manager Christina who shared a look because of the amount of stuff I had in my cart. (What?? Lol) Then proceeded to be kind which was great. There was a promotion happening for impossible meat and there were coupons ALREADY attached to the product. It wasn't me bringing anything extra lol I was told that the girl had to do the math on her phone to see how much to take off instead of just scanning the coupon. Christina watched us do math then I was told I needed to have a number for the coupon to work but what sense does that make nor was that listed on the actual fine print. I put in my number and they were STILL DOING MATH. Now I'm not a coupon girl usually but it all just seemed weird and when I questioned Christina for clarity she told me "usually" "most" coupons work that way but we could "try" just scanning it then asked if the girl ringing me up fixed it making me sit there and do math with a receipt like she wasn't there for the whole thing lol I eventually gave up because WHAT WAS even HAPPENING?? And who wants to sit there confused over a coupon. If Christina is the manager and doesn't know what to do then what is the point of having someone in charge to help you guys. Do not come here if you have to make a big purchase. Mainly I would hope they (Christina's manager) would hire managers that had hospitality and understanding that they have no clue what people are going through and to be genuinely kind and helpful and know what to do in case of a coupon with a barcode :/

Never had issues ordering cupcakes or cakes before but today made phone order person who answered the phone was rude and didn't want to take order after long he took my order I go the next and no cupcakes were made so it was very disappointing will not be making any cupcakes orders or cakes awful service!!!

Went shopping today. We purchased 3 pieces of German Chocolate Cake and when we got home we only had two. The grocery bagger went extremely fast to get us on our way. He just threw the groceries in the bag not caring how they landed. This isn't the first time we didn't get all the groceries we purchased. Make sure to check your bags before leaving the store. Shame on us for not checking.

I am from way out of town and placed a deli order over the phone to be picked up on my way to a party. Unfortunately my order was not found. Although the team did all they could to locate my order and even call people at home to see if it may have been misplaced, it was definitely missing. Out of nowhere the manager Dylan came to the rescue and without missing a beat took charge of the situation. They were going to make my order right away. He offered my child and I some Starbucks refreshments and he put on a hair net to assist the deli in making my order. He did not have to do that, but he knew that this order was for an event. I value traditional customer service and made sure to tell everyone at the event how amazing Dylan at vons was!

I shop at this location regularly and never had a problem with any one. JoJo, is my favorite cashier. I was shopping there on a Friday and bought a Boston Cream pie but when they packed it it got ruined so I get back on line and they told to get another one, when I was leaving the store this very rude employee by the name of Lydia, starts to check my bags and said, did you pay for the cake, she did not ask for a receipt she assumed I stole it and it made me feel very uncomfortable. I reported incident to the manager. Now, every time I go shopping there she gives me dirty looks and makes shopping there very uncomfortable.

I really want to like Vons. I'm usually a Stater Brothers shopper, but we've been going to Vons more and more lately, specifically because they carry Dietz & Watson lunch meats, which we really like. But...the service for getting deli meats is consistently terrible. It's pretty much like being at the DMV, but worse. It's so bad and inefficient that I'm beginning to wonder if they do it on purpose to discourage people from ordering deli meats. Why would they do that? I don't know, but that's how bad it's been. What specifically is so bad? 1) It takes forever. Even if there's no one in line, it routinely takes at least 20 minutes. 2) Most of the workers seem like they detest the fact you're ordering deli meats. 3) We are routinely given the wrong lunch meats. I'm only writing this in the hopes that something can be done about it. There is one worker who is always great and attentive...I wish I could remember her name...but she unfortunately hardly works the deli counter anymore. Vons, please improve on this....it will help me overlook the often wilted lettuce and turned vegetables in the produce section.

The selection at this location is decent, but the layout of this store is unlike any market I have been in and it is challenging to navigate. They also don't stock baking pumpkins, only carving pumpkins, which is silly in my opinion as it is a grocery store. I won't be returning for my regular weekly shopping.

Was picking up money from Western Union and I may I say that your employee Lydia is very rude and unwelcoming ! Not a good customer service worker at all ! Hire better and nicer employees, respect goes both ways
