Uhaul on Spruce is the best! I feel like they really care about delivering the best service to their customers while making the process of renting a truck so easy! Looking forward to using them for years to come!

The counter staff were very helpful and clear when I asked what my options were for renting the truck. Dominique was very friendly and made dropping off the truck a breeze.

As a busy business owner, my time is very precious. As a corporate account holder(which increases efficiency) the team at Spruce St. U-Haul in Riverside go above and beyond to ensure my time is not wasted. Stephanie’s staff makes me feel like family.

The U-Haul we received was empty and had no fuel. Upon filling up the gas tank, we noticed that gas was spilling out of the back of the U-Haul truck. After waiting 90 minutes for the road side assistance to come take a look at the truck, they found that there was a huge hole drilled in the tank. We ended up having to go back to the original location to receive another truck.The General Manager has been helpful and has refunded some of our money, but the delays in our move and the inconvenience of the whole ordeal was overwhelming and should be compensated for our lost time and not just for the gas that was purchased for the vehicle. I have been in the military for 18 years and this was the worst experience I have had with equipment. Unfortunately, I will not be selecting U-Haul in the future.

The owner was exceptionally rude, extraordinarily lackluster and extremely aloof! I will NEVER rent at this location!

Eddie was great! We were able to pick up and drop off the truck quickly and easily. He ensured the gas level was the same as the paperwork and went out of his way to make sure and make the levels correct. Will definitely be using this location again and recommending to my neighbors!

Terrible customer service at front desk !! Extra long wait time! Understaffed. Radio did not work on the cargo van we rented , and we had a very long trip !

We rented a cargo van from this location on 7-4-2023 to move my daughter to Arizona. The radio did not work at all.....which we didn't realize until we started driving to AZ (the van was already loaded up so it's not like we could take it back at this point )! So round trip we went about 800 miles with no radio at all! Also, the seat belts didn't seem to work?! They clicked and we were able to put them on, but we noticed on the way back when we stopped really fast a couple of times that the seat belts didn't really "lock" like they're supposed to when you stop fast so who knows if they're really actually working. ?? I took the van back 3 days later after I returned to California, and informed Sarah (at the front counter ) of the problems related to the van. The radio not working was not the end of the world, BUT it's kind of annoying when you're driving long distance ! But when we started talking to Sarah, she didn't seem to care too much and she tried to explain what the process would be in order for them to get it fixed before another person would rent it, NEXT TIME, but that didn't help us after we rented it already and it hadn't worked for us the whole time ?! . Sarah had terrible customer service and needs to be trained or retrained in how to deal with customers in an appropriate way. The guy that happened to be cleaning our van after we dropped it off came in while we were talking to Sarah and actually seemed to be more helpful than SHE was as far as trying to help us with our issues. He understood more of what we needed and gave us Stephanie's card, who is the manager at the store and said that we should call her tomorrow and she would help us take care of it. Sarah didn't seem to know how to communicate that in general to us ! all she had to say was " I'm sorry that happened. I'm not able to help you with it right now but you can call the manager and she'll be able to help you with that." Also, when we first came in to drop off our van, there was only one person working the front counter , which was Sarah, and she was already helping another customer in the store and had to finish helping him before she could help us Which is understandable. But then we literally ended up waiting about half an hour before she could help us because there was also another customer waiting to get some help who had been there earlier and had to come back to have some thing taken care of on her bill. And then while we were trying to take care of our issues, there were at least three or four other customers waiting behind us. Sarah did use her walkie-talkie to ask for assistance up at the front counter, but no one ever showed up to help her. The guy who came in for a few minutes that had been cleaning the van actually told us that the manager had clocked out at about 4 PM and this was just a little bit after 4 PM. But when she asked for help, it was definitely before 4 PM maybe like 3:45 pm ??! Also, we asked Sarah about the mileage for the van because when we rented the van originally we had estimated more miles than we actually drove, so we wanted to make sure that we weren't going to be charged for the extra mileage and she really didn't have a clue about THAT and again the guy who was cleaning the van happened to be standing by her and he said that it should be adjusted automatically when we were paying now. But when we looked on our receipt, it didn't look like it had really been adjusted yet, so that's another issue we need to take up with the manager as well. But again, Sarah didn't seem to know how that worked either which she should if she's working the front counter, dealing with customers that are turning their vans in, etc.. it shouldn't take a manager to take care of these small things that we were asking of Sarah! Also, when we received the van, it was pretty dusty and dirty on the outside, and a little bit on the inside (not too bad). It wasn't terrible but I feel for the money that

Stephanie the manager and all the rest of the crew there were amazing. Very sincere, very professional, very helpful.
