I honestly cannot express in words how horrible this program was. They take people with addictions and just substitute it with religion. The answer to everything is prayer and Christ. Traumatized me more than anything.

For any parent who has a child that is dealing with addiction and they’re just reaching adulthood I would not recommend this setting. When I hear Teen Challenge I think of just that “Teen” . The latter end of their teen years no more than 21. This kind of setting where you have adult plus men in this program who’ve been dealing with years and years of addiction isn’t the best environment for your child who just turned 18 and is no more than 21. I thought this would be a better setting vs Salvation Army but I see it wasn’t much different. Do your research and look into a program that is geared more towards your younger adult child. It can be an overwhelming environment for them

Haha. Uhhhhhh.... This is a hard one because I love the Lord and this place helped me get close with Him. However.... This is unlike any other rehab because there's no nurturing going on. Actually, you can't get anyone to "talk to" aside from once a week for the most part. They work you, too. Mercilessly. If you have medical conditions, this place will stress you out. Anytime you need something, it's a huge ordeal. The staff acts like their jobs are the hardest thing in the whole world (lol) and you feel bad asking for anything. The apprentices are prolly the coolest part - recent graduates who are excited to lead and filled with the spirit. I had some great moments with other students, especially once the music got involved. That's my personal taste, though. If you can't behave , you'll never get any freedom and you'll never go home. Stg. Don't go unless you're prepared to follow all the rules (about 16 pages worth of them). It's complicated but to be super honest I wouldn't suggest going here unless you are REALLY bad off-- it's so much longer and harder than most treatment programs. I could say so much more...

This is an excellent program for anyone in need of a change of lifestyle anyone going through hard times, need a life transformation, need an alternative to prison this is the program for you .Call teen Challenge its been a blessing to my son. I couldn't be more happier

I went through teen challenge years ago and did well cuz I had family who supported me.. Teen challenge of southern ca. The donations that given cars and houses? staff usually buys them at a tenth what they give vouchers for. ask anyone of them where they live are donated houses some staff like the head of tern challenge bought theres who pays 8000 for a house in redlands how does the money go to the students..also they ok with divorce they allowed a staff member leave hi
