Friendly staff and no waiting, as at all the Riverside branches. This downtown location however is plagued by homeless and panhandlers. The ATM is often not accessible on Sundays due to shifty characters blocking the sidewalk on blankets near the front door. Nice branch, but ATM unsafe.

The staff at Provident Bank on main street are amazing. Estethania took the time to provide me with the information I needed even though the transaction/issue was at another branch.

A preface: I generally lean towards supporting local and less 'corporatized' organizations, so I am biased to the neighborhood warmth you get from a local business. That said, I am flabbergasted in the best way to find that warmth extend to the most unlikeliest of places: a bank!

That said, I am flabbergasted in the best way to find that warmth extend to the most unlikeliest of places: a bank! I began banking at this branch for my business a few months back and the experience has gone beyond my expectations. You can expect all of the obvious amenities, but how about walking into the bank and being greeting by people who remember your first name? How about calling the bank and having a HUMAN answer the phone? The same human that knows your first name when you walk into the bank! It's just such a contrast, having banked at the big national banks with the corporatish and highly dispersonable atmosphere as the baseline. This branch has retained a beautiful and rare human touch to their entire service that I have never experienced banking anywhere else. How novel is that in the modern day? If you like automated answering and corny hold music, this is the wrong place for you. If you want genuine people who will treat you like they value your business and will remember you on your next visit, start banking here.
