PROCEED WITH CAUTIONMarch/April 2021My inquiries and suggestions were construed as threats and confrontations. Principal tried to silence me by warning that if I wished to remain at OLPH I must not inquire nor comment about protocols moving forward.Had numerous conversations with the principal regarding Covid-19. Sadly, the principal didn't adhere to Covid-19 mandates, did bare minimum to keep the school safe, alleged Delta variant was not Covid-19, argued teacher vaccination mandate excluded Catholic schools, believed new air conditioners would get rid of the Covid-19 virus, stopped checking temperatures, minimal to no social distancing, promoted hand holding with prayer partners when going to mass, arranged the desks by grouping them together in the classrooms instead of keeping them apart, office employee advised students they could remove their masks when being inside the classrooms, advised she would not notify families of Covid-19 cases in the school (and did not when someone tested positive at a school event), didn't ask students to quarantine after travelling back to the U.S. from a different country, she said she'd hire a cleaning service to clean high touched surfaces and never did, kept three grade levels together during recess or lunches.Safety was not a priority. At least one family left the school due to the principal's non-compliance. One of her main concerns was to re-open the school at any cost. Feared for my child's health and well being.
