Great shop! Jim and Robert were honest and good humored as they helped me with a car that had a lot of issues. They gave me solid advice and the work was prompt and reasonable. Thanks Otwell's, I'll be back!

Worst service ever! Messed up my car and did not take accountability. I called just to ask if he could recheck the problem and he started screaming at me that he did nothing to my car. Then said he told me he was fixing something that HE DID NOT TELL ME about. I took my car for one simple thing but left with something additional messing up. He goes on to say, “I told you I was fixing this too.”Which he did not, because if he did, I would’ve told him that that has been broken on my car since the day I purchased it 5 years ago. I simply called being nice just to see if he could look at it again and would have paid if anything else was wrong, but apparently he knew he was guilty because he immediately started denying something I didn’t even accuse him of. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and was yelling at me from the top of his lungs! I am a woman. This was not called for. I wanted to take my car to the same person to avoid being scammed but apparently Jim is the scammer. Very poor business. To avoid any problems go elsewhere.

Went in and nicely asked if they can take a look at a leak on my car. The man who was sitting in his chair not doing anything said he probably doesn’t have time to take a look today. Said to come back Monday. I went to another place and all I had to do was pop my hood and right away they told me what was wrong. I just think when you go to a mechanic the least they can is take a look. I would have 100% had them fix it if they had taken a look.

I work about a mile from here. When I got off work, I noticed my undercarriage splash guard was dragging on the floor. I was scared to drive on the freeway with it dragging. It was about 5pm, every auto shop in the area was closing and I desperately went in after visiting 3 other places, and they were able to help me out. They pinned the dragging piece and replaced the plastic screws at no charge. The technician (tall, slender, caucasian man) noticed my tire pressure light was on and took the initiative to put air. Extremely kind and compassionate staff. I opted to tip him due to the service and level of professionalism in my time of desperation.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Was calling around to ask for quotes about a broken wheel stud/lug nut. When I went to call this business and ask how much the repair would cost the owner responded “I don’t know however long it takes me.” Super unprofessional, thank god I called first before wasting my time here.

It's a good shop. I've gone a couple of times with vehicles. But maybe it's the times (early 2023), he's always slammed. They're coarse, they're not going to bullshit you or take bullshit. They're direct, they'll tell you what's going down and how much it'll take to fix. They're honest. It's just hard to get a bay.

Solved my problem in a couple of hours, check engine light gone, Temperature no longer too high to drive. Jim is very friendly and helpful, waiting for me after business hours to pick up my Honda! Thanks a lot!

Jim and Robert took care of us this week when the cooling fan on our SUV failed. An aftermarket (Dorman) fan assembly was installed by another shop and the part failed after 10 days. Jim replaced the fan assembly with an OEM part which has been working as expected now. Jim is a true diamond in the rough, he is honest and trustworthy, we will use Otwells only going forward for and auto repair/services. Highly recommend Otwells.
