“It is a Market. Very small. Fresh vegetables. Cold beer. Street is all torn up right now, by Edison or the cable people. Whoever patched up the asphalt did a lumpy job. The market must be losing money right and left. I still find a way up the hill. Best ice in the neighborhood (if you are using it in beverages). Probably helps if you speak Spanish. I don't. I know how to find the beer tho. Recycling at the back of parking lot.”

Cashier said sorry she couldn't take my order and the owner stopped me as I was leaving and fired up the kitchen to cook my family dinner. I was so grateful.”

However, sometimes they showcase excellent looking cuts in the front of the case and then cut you some steaks off of a separate cut from the back of the case which is much less well marbled or older than what is in the front of the case.”
