I returned a dog which I paid the fees for and they put up the dog again with the same amount of fee when they told me they don't do refund because the next owner would have the fees paid. I thought it would be true and when I checked on the website they had the dog up again with the same fees I paid for.

!! THEY HAVE NO HEART !!
We found a dog we fell in love with and were making arrangements to adopt him. We looked at a lot of dogs a week prior, and he just fit with us! He had an injury that needed to be looked at by the vet the next day, then they were closed and the following day I had to go out of town for work so taking the dog to be locked in a crate for 12 hours a day was just not the right thing to do to a dog! I was told by shelter staff that while the dogs are "first come first serve", I should not be worried about this dog being adopted before I could get there (48 hours later) because of his breed, age and injury.
We walked in today (the day we TOLD THEM we'd be there to adopt him) find that exact dog being walked out and adopted right out from underneath us! My 8 year old had to watch his dog leave with someone else and is beyond devastated!!!!
I TOLD them we would be there and I TOLD them we were adopting him! They don't care about you in the slightest. Their response to me and my crying son was, "we are first come, first serve, and we have other dogs!" A dog us not just any dog, it's a member of your family and you can't just pick out any dog like it's a vegetable....
I can't believe this has happened and how much they hurt me and, more importantly, my young boys and don't care at all!
SHAME ON YOU!

This is a wonderful establishment. Very glad places like this exist and there are so few. Not only do they make affordable vaccinations for pets available, which serves to keep pets and owners safe and healthy, but their operation serves as a place for community. I’ve seen people, young and old, who volunteer at the center to socialize the pets for adoption and it warms my heart to see a place for those who wish to give and love and feel loved.
I do wish they were able to offer a more robust schedule for spay and neutering. We check every month to get an appointment, but have not been able to get in. But, I understand what great demand there is for this service and how limited their ability is to offer more.
Nonetheless, I am happy to have Mary S Roberts Pet Adoption Center in our community. So many other communities do not have establishments like this in theirs. We count our blessings. I do hope they are able to secure more funding to expand what they do and support the continuation of their benefit to our community.

They tell you to wait outside until you are called on your cell, but you can just open the door and see if there's room for you to sit in the air conditioned room. Nice volunteers, a vet did the vaccinations. Just remember that the building is all the way in the back, and it is directly east of the main adoption building.

My favorite place to take my animals to get spayed/neutered and to keep their vaccines up to date. Low cost. Friendly staff.
