I met Noe back in the early 2000s when he worked at the Firestone outlet in Costa Mesa. As a mechanic, I always found him to be honest and dependable. I trusted him with my cars and felt confident in his abilities. Fast forward to 2024, I purchased an original 1984 SS Monte Carlo that needed some repairs. I searched all over Orange County in California for an auto shop that specialized in working on G Bodies, but couldn't find one. All the shops I came across only took newer cars or those manufactured in 1977 or earlier, citing emissions regulations. Then, I remembered that Noe had his own shop called Illustrious Automotive Repair, located in Riverside, CA. I found out about it through a friend. I decided to take a chance and drove from Orange County to Riverside, hoping that Noe could help me out. Noe had my car for only three days, during which he identified all the faults and fixed everything that was wrong. He rebuilt my AC compressor, installed a new radiator, replaced the valve cover, tuned the engine, replaced the distributor, and replaced the center link and idler arm for an alignment. Noe had my car running smoothly in no time. I highly recommend Illustrious Automotive Repair and Noe for all your automotive needs, whether you have an old car or a new one. They are honest and reasonably priced. I was so pleased with their service that I even gave them a $300 tip. I won't take any of my classic cars anywhere else.

Now went above and beyond to help me. Needless to say finding an honest mechanic is hard, but Noe was exceptionally honest and communicative in dealing with my car situation. He actually took time to teach me a bit about my car problem in a way I could understand since I don't have a mechanical mind. He has integrity and does solid work! He does get busy so be patient with the phone calls. He is worth a little wait, and definitely gets to you and gives your car the attention it needs. My issue was resolved within 24 hours. I will be going back again and will be taking my car, my husband's car and my mother's car for any issues. I highly recommend him!

Took my work van to have my head. Gaskets replaced on the engine. Noe and his mechanics did an excellent job 2 years later. No problems. Excellent condition, excellent work.

I called Illustrious Automotive Repair looking for the replacement of my transmission seal which was leaking. Since I own a Subaru XV Crosstrek the parts and fluids necessary to do the repair were only available from a Subaru dealer. I spoke with Noe and we discussed what needed to be done. He checked pricing with Subaru and gave me a pretty close estimate of the cost of the repair. I made an appointment and brought my car in and waited for the work to be done (very important to me to be able to wait). One and a half hours later I was on my way. So very, very happy with everything about this business. I now know where to bring my car for servicing.
