So far I have only been to two classes, but I feel pretty comfortable here. The coaches are really kind. They take the time to explain the moves you are practicing. l have had a good experience overall. I feel like it's going to be a really good thing for me to learn jiujitsu.

I knew this place was my home the moment I walked in. The place is very clean and the business is very organized. I appreciate how much safety is prioritized especially me being a white belt who was concerned about injuries. The fundamental classes are perfectly structured for white belts and blue belts to get better. Big shout out to Coach Oliver for being so helpful. Professor Tom for being hilarious and a great instructor. Professor Alex really showing his dedication and love for Jiu Jitsu. Coach Jake with his huge smile and big energy. I love this place and I cannot recommend enough that you come take a class and/or bring your children. The other people who I train with are always open to conversation and very friendly. I have had no issues making friends here.

We took our 4.5yo daughter in for a free class today - she was a bit shy at first but warmed up super quick. We were able to sit front and center and watch the whole class. Omg, these toddlers are the cutest thing to watch! All the professors were so good, but Professor Jay stood out to us the most because he was just perfect with how he interacted with my shy one. He helped with getting her comfortable and participating with the whole class. Then at the end of class, as the professors were acknowledging promotions and handing out belts, they called my daughter's name and handed her her very own white belt, symbolizing courage for finishing her first class. WOW, hands down best surprise ever! I came in today just curious to see if our daughter would enjoy a jiu jitsu class. After today, I know this place was the best choice!

Such an amazing academy for people of all ages and experience levels. If you have never tried jiu-jitsu before, you will not regret it!! It's great for kids and adults and this academy is top tier.

Life changing. I wish I would've gotten into this sport/gym when I was much younger. The professors are always very professional when teaching lessons but they make sure that everyone is having a good time. Rolling can be nerve wrecking enough so to know you have professors that have your back to teach you the small details & team mates that have nothing but good energy is amazing ! A ton of resources at your palm.

I had just enrolled my son three month's ago but Their AC unit hasn't been working for the passed few months it's been terribly hot in the building. They kept saying they were working on it. But why has it been months to get this fixed? Maybe they should shut it down while they get their problem situated. I just wish someone would've warned me about it before having to go and find out for myself and paying to go sit in a oven. It's been over 100° outside and you could only imagine how hot it is inside and with so many people in the in the building. They did mention the Corona one is more cooler but unfortunately it's out of my way.

I brought my 5 year old son for a trial class and he loved it! He was so excited at the end of class and asked us to sign him up so we did and so far we're happy with the classes and coaches. They are great with the little ones and very patient which is needed with 5 year olds. My son felt very comfortable & I'm excited to see how my son will grow over the next few months.

Where do I begin??? Honestly this review is long overdue. Firstly I'm a non jiu-jitsu parent (meaning I don't practice the sport and purely spectating). My daugther has been here almost 2 years this month and her journey has been amazing. I gave them my shy 4 year old and they are returning to me an almost 7 year old fighter. She has worked with the most amazing coaches and professors who have given her so much more than I could ever imagine. I've worked with kids for quite some time. I've learned not every adult can teach, not every teacher can lead, and not every leader is a mentor. We have been horribly lucky to find all three qualities here and it's hard to not expect that as the standard moving foward. This is a place that really builds up your kid no matter how shy they might be. Professors Kendall, Jay, Saul and Tom are nothing short of amazing. They make sure to teach in a way that every child can get. So much so, that even I have learned things along the way just from watching. No child is ever left behind and they make sure everyone progresses. Not every dojo is like this. While some places focus solely on their future champs, this dojo (along with Corona and Newport) treat and train every child like a champ. There are always additional coaches on the mat who match their intensity and I'm so very grateful for them. There are so many of them to name but they are amazing and so essential to every kid getting almost individualized training in class. Here you can find adults that really invest in your kids because they love the sport and love what they do. It's horribly infectious and has even tempted me to want to join but I just can't find the time. It's also definitely a plus that the dojo is full of real life champs. To see students and professors coming in winning top three almost feels strangely normal. And it's definitely a plus to recognize coaches and professors on TV or streamed matches to show your kids what caliber of people they train with. And I love sharing standings with my daughter showing her how her school is one of the top ranking dojos in the world. The Reusing's are kind and wonderful owners. Easy to get into contact with and run their dojos so smoothly. The facilities are all wonderfully clean and comfortable. Honestly this would be our forever home for our kiddo if we weren't moving away. Love this team of people. So grateful for all their hard work and knowledge. P.S. You can also book privates with any coaches or professor there. If you see your kid could use some extra attention, it is worth every dollar!

Apologize for the long overdue review my daughter has been training here for over a year, my two oldest also trained with Gracie Barra corona and riverside locations. I have always enjoyed the interactions with all the coaches and professors. The way they teach all students you can really tell they take pride and joy in what they do. Every kid should come in and give it a try Thanks again

I've been training at Gracie Barra Riverside for years and it has grown a lot since I started training there. The owners, Tom & Holly, are amazing and kind people. What I love about this place is they have an actual curriculum that they follow when teaching both the kids and adults class, they are well organized, the facility is pristine, and the professors and coaches are passionate and knowledgeable at what they do. They have a family-like environment and are very supportive of their team members.

I have been a team member of Gracie Barra since June 2014. After taking time off in 2017, it took me three and a half years to get back on the mats. The Professors and coaches at GB Riverside and Corona have been great. It has almost been a month now and I already feel at home and have fallen back in love with jiu jitsu! I am excited to continue my jiu jitsu journey under the instruction and guidance of this team.

I’m new to BJJ , but the coaches and staff here make you feel welcomed. I had Tom who helped me out get set up with my membership , he explained everything to me clearly and got me set up right away with my uniform. The instructors are top notch and look out for the well being of their students. Staying here definitely for the years to come! If you are looking to join come out and try a class you won’t regret it.
