Like another reviewer mentioned I just moved to downtown recently coming from Bloomington (which is ghetto) but I still felt out of my element here. This parking lot and all the people squirming around it were suuuper sketch. Plus I was charged $16 for a 6 pack of beer & a small bag of chips. I didn’t realize until I was in my car how much I had paid. Rad Coffee is amazing in this lot but I won’t ever return to this liquor store. Especially not at night.

The prices for this store are ridiculous I got charged 15.07 for a soda that said 99 cent and a 12 oz Dr.pepper a long with a baby bottle pop candy

The cashier was very friendly hence the name LOL. I stopped by to purchase our office pool Lottery tickets hoping to get lucky at this store. The cashier took care of the ticket slips and some extras to play for the big prize. Some of the customers seemed to be regulars as he knew them by name.

Great little liquor store with all kinds of good stuff just be careful if you go there at night there's a lot of people moving around that parking lot that are looking for a handout but still a great liquor store

*See Update below. This place should not be Named "Friendly" Liquor. The couple who run the store are not friendly whatsoever. They don't accept EBT. They sweat you if you're a penny short. They never welcome or really acknowledge you only if your a minority then they watch your every move. They also never thank you for your purchase. Anyways on the positive side their prices are lower than other liquor stores in the area.UPDATE!!!:Ok, so I am so happy that Friendly Liquor can now officially be Called just that. Sam is now the new owner of friendly liquor on University in Riverside California. Sam is a nice man and has really renovated the store. He greets you with a smile and always acknowledges you when you enter his store. He listens to you, is considerate and has compassion for others. Believe me anyone who enters Friendly Liquor will feel the difference. I don't know what was wrong with the last owner the couple, but they were miserable and so rude they kicked out about 80% of all the locals there in the area for stupid reasons, me being kicked out for being " disrespectful" because I asked her if her name was June or Jane after hearing someone called her Jane. Thank you Sam and Somar (his cousin).!

New store owner is terrible with customer service. Bought a defective vape pen from here. When i went back to tell him about it and get a new one or refund. He told me it was my fault and i must have smoked all of it. The pen went out in less then a day and it usually takes me over a week to finish it. He wanted me to pay half price for another and after fighting with him for about 10 minutes he threw a new vape pen at me and told me to get out. Never coming to this store again and i live down the street i would rather go out of my way and go to a farther store then come here. If you do come here make sure you bring someone with you because multiple homeless and unstable people hang out right outside. On of the times i did go there homeless people were fighting each other in the parking right outside the store. Be aware of this store 0/10 stars
