Had an appointment for an appraisal. Helped right away when I walked in. Was told I was next and it would take about 1/2 hour. The appraiser was done with the car in about 10 minutes and headed back to the computer. I then waited about 45 minutes. Other people came in, were helped and left. Finally, after being there for an hour, I asked for my keys back and left.

For the car selling service,
This riverside location has made it extremely difficult to sell a car. Lack of knowledge and customer service is what dealt with.
Unfortunately I didn’t know that my PAID OFF car still have a lien hold by my previous loan company, but I brought it in to get all the documents sorted and comeback if I needed extra paperwork. CarMax stated my paid in full letter was enough and to bring it in with my co-signer to sell.
I brought my vehicle, the vehicle to sell, and my co-signer and I was met with complete disrespect when the “manager” stated, he doesn’t know if I’m a criminal or a felon, that I could have easily photoshopped my paperwork. This incident was reported to two managers. And I did leave and SPECIFICALLY obtained the lien hold release notarized form, that was provided in less than and hour. I called CarMax to verify, again, if they wanted me to submit it to the dmv or if the document was fine on its own.
To spare all the details of this event, because this event happened in the beginning of April, it’s June. After I took multiple days off of work and drove multiple cars back and forth because certain associates lack customer service besides a few women who have empathized with me, I am not being contacted by LENA, the financial manager, because “ I haven’t provided the lien hold release paperwork “, I’ve explained the situation, I don’t know what I expected from a business that continues to disrespect me and bully me, she continues to state that I need to take time off to do a three-way call to obtain this paperwork AGAIN because “ I DIDN’T PROVIDE IT”.
I am cooperating, but as a customer, this service and this location continue to badger me and bully me over paperwork that carmax Riverside has lost and gloss over my situation.
At this point, how can you even rectify this situation. They’ve made it know, it’s a business and a few managers have apologized, but how do you rectify a situation that I continue to be harassed over?
Again - I am cooperating and we agreed on her threeway call, I’ve called my loan and have to settle a dispute because they stated they already provided paperwork.

I recently sold my car to CarMax and had a great experience from start to finish. They offered me $1,000 more than Carvana, which was a pleasant surprise. The entire process was quick, straightforward, and hassle-free. The staff were very friendly, professional, and made sure everything was clearly explained. I was in and out faster than I expected, and they handled everything efficiently. Highly recommend if you're looking to sell your car without the usual headaches.

Top notch company. The selling of my car was easy, fast and efficient. The employees were very friendly. I had my check in hand in under an hour. The transfer paperwork was complete and through. I would highly recommend Carmax.

I bought a car cash, over $42K and noticed a tire rim was chipped. I spoke to my salesperson and he said service personnel refused to give me a new rim. Furthering, the car was not washed and as I drive home, I noticed the gas tank was empty. It’s been over 6 weeks and I still don’t have my new DMV paperwork. I’ve called and left messages and have not received any responses. Seriously ???

Had a very good experience with CarMax in Riverside. I found the perfect car and had it shipped down from Colorado and it arrived quicker than expected. Everyone I dealt with at the dealership was extremely friendly, and my sales rep, Fernando, explained everything to me really well. The whole process of showing up, signing paperwork, and getting my car took about an hour and a half, and likely would have gone quicker if I didn't have issues with some of my documents on the website (but I brought copies of everything in which helped keep it from being a super long ordeal; it was certainly faster than when I purchased my previous car from a dealership which took over 2 hours). I would definitely do business with this location again.

Easy process. Will shop here again. The only thing I did not like was that the car we wanted was on hold for someone. Instead of calling the person to see if they we serious about the purchase we had to wait about 3 days and they did not call us once the car was released, we had to call them. If you are serious about a purchase than make the process easy.

My experience with Car Max was a five star... customer service was point on all the way around..even after I had to take my car in for repairs..they fixed everything in a timely matter...the only thing that I would like to see in the future is having the service department keep u updated on your vehicle as its getting fixed...good, bad or the ugly..other then that...great people!..
