The younger guy seems like he doesn't want to be there's. I asked about the products they sell and he looked at me like I was unintelligent or lost. You should at least have some sort of information on the products you sell. It would help in its sale. This seems very basic and even negligent to not have information on any product you sell. This will be the second time that I've had a bad experience here. I spend at least 100$ a week here. I've always had a good experience with the the individual with the glasses and vest. The younger guy with the wife. Is coo. The wife is NOT. I will completely walk out of the store if she is there. I go to the smoke shop up the street now. They do have things that are useful and convenient but I don't like giving my money to people that are rude. I will not support someone in my neighborhood, that disrespects its own community.

I drove buy the market, smelled the bbq and had to try it. What a disappointment!! The ribs were dry seasoned well, but not very tender at all. Some pieces were dry. The whole rack needed to be cooked slower and possibly wrapped for tenderness. The guy convinced me to buy the whole meal. He kept saying it was a good deal so I said ok. The potato and macaroni salad and chili beans are NOT homemade. The guy tried to explain to me that it would cost too much to make it He pointed to the quart container and said if he made it the container would only be filled 3/4 the way. The guy was so full of s**** I cater all the time and I know I can feed 50 people macaroni salad for $15. I do know it is time consuming though. They charge $4.00 for a quart of store bought macaroni or potato salad. Charged $45 for one rack of ribs, 2 qts macaroni salad, 1 qt. of potato salad, 1 qt. of beans, and 4 rolls from the grocery store. This entire meal was very disappointing. I would not have purchased the meal extras if I had known it was all store bought. Unfortunately, I asked after I paid and he had already packed the extras. I didnt feel like telling him to give me my money back. Next time I crave bbq, i will make it myself. My bbq ribs and homemade sides are far better. The only good part was the guy was nice and friendly.

From the outside, this place looks like every other convenience/liquor store in the San Joaquin Valley. But once inside, and once you talk to the staff, you soon realize that this is a diamond in the rough. A surprising amount of merchandise is on hand, most of it standard convenience/liquor store fare, like cigarettes, liquor, chips, candy, lottery tickets, etc, but look a bit further and you'll also find t-shirts, more expensive bottles of alcohol, and of course, the most reliable Western Union service in all of Riverbank. And the staff is super-duper friendly! Sounds odd, but whenever I'm in Riverbank, I ALWAYS make it a point to stop in and say hi to the staff of Star Market.

Very convinient. Probably the only place in Riverbank that has check cashing service close by and at walking distance, they have this service availiable after 3 pm.

This is a ghetto place. The guy at the cashier named David had a very bad smell. He smells like he did not take a bath for a month. Very poor customer service. I will never go back to this store again.
