They have the best meat in Riverbank. I only give them 1 star because the cashier is rude and has no customer service, unlike the people who serve you with the meat.

NEVER , NEVER AGAIN WILL I SPEND MY MONEY THERE & YES THE PRICES ARE VERY HIGH ! Yet I would only buy my meat @ that store to support a small family business. The other day the staff was hostile n I was bullied n threatened by the staff n manager bc I wanted to purchase larger pieces of Meat at prices listed per lb . the 1st employee/cashier said its $1 more per LB ,if the butcher has to lift a piece of paper , I was taken aback so I asked for the mgr bc I didn't know what was going on, she came out from her office n said it's $3 extra per lb . , so was I charged $3 extra a lb of meat bc it was underneath a piece of paper! Mind you NOW the prices are conflicting!! So you can see why I was confused is it $1 or $3 can stores do that?(NO)I was Sooo confused not only by the price hike over a piece of paper , but the hostility towards me by the staff n mgr. All bc I questioned why. When I 1st walked in the store it had a bad stench of rotting meat. But I still headed to the meat section. The whole store has changed . the environments hostile n I was threatened by the mgr bc I asked why the added price charge. I wanted to purchase a larger piece underneath a paper. The mgr threatened to call the police on me n come to find out she never called. Again I was Sooo Confused n Shocked I still purchased the meat bc I was Shocked n distracted by what was happening. After I left I was saddened by the situation n couldn't believe I still had purchased the Meat. The whole store environment has changed it use to be completely different & inviting ". The lady mgr n staff were threatening me they surrounded me so I back away from them bc I'm disabled n I felt uncomfortable , the Store environment was hostile n there was no reason for it. I'll take my business elsewhere. The store has changed for the worse. AT NO time was I mean, raised my voice ,used profanity or disrespectful to anyone. (This was my personal experience. )DO BETTER

Excelente servicio de parte del señor Pedro señor que atiende la sección de la cocina donde te venden tacos ,carnitas me recordó lo que es recibir un buen trato hacia el cliente no venden quesabirrias pero vio que mi Niño quería unas y le hizo unas especiales y también me vendió una docena de tortillas que el calentó aparte que tampoco hacen y realmente le reconozco su gran labor y amor en recibir al cliente dios lo bendiga

I've always wanted to try this place, and I'm sure glad I did. Ordered a shrimp burrito Supreme and a chorizo, egg, potato breakfast burrito Supreme. I also got a pound of chicharron's. Everything was delicious, especially the burritos. They did not skimp on the burritos at all. My breakfast burrito must have weight 5 lbs. The potatoes were cooked perfectly. The store is small, but they have a very good selection at the meat counter, and very good selection of fresh vegetables, and other items throughout the store. They have a large verity of take out food to order, or you can eat there. They have tables to sit at. Good customer service! The store is well organized and clean!

Very small market . Stopped by to buy some tortillas. The girl who worked behind the counter was very friendly. The meat looked good. I'd like to come back and try the carnitas I heard it's bomb!! I will update my review when I get a chance to go back.

Another local on my taco trail. 3 carnitas tacos. $2.50 each on a Tuesday is a little spendy, but they were good. Plenty of pork (with bark), fresh cilantro and onions with an abundance of cooked jalapeños and onions. Salsa and lime wedges. #spicemeister approved.

Saturday & Sunday are my go to days for the best tasting Menudo and food. Each visit is a reminder of why I come every weekend. Perfectly plated and freshly prepared!10/10 I have to recommend.

I was talking to the manager of this place, telling her that one of the food products I bought came out moldy.While I was explaining, she hung up on me and did not have the respect to call me back.This place has a problem with professional ethics, they forget about customer service, they believe that because they sell a product you are obliged to go to them. Next door is Garcias Márquez where I have never had a problem and from now on I will continue to be their customer since they don't appreciate it in this place.They reminded me of places in Latin America where they believe that you buy out of necessity and not because they give you great customer service.To avoid and have to deal with people who do not have a little professional ethics. Better never use their services again, I advise you to avoid frustration with the staff at La Chiquita Carniceria, visit the store on the block with the best reputation like Garcias Marquez.
