“I personally use to really love this store I've been coming here since they first opened up I've always stopped by on my way to work at least too see what new stuff they have. About a month and half ago I do my usual stop at SD see what they got and to my surprise the old owner I forget his name sold the store to new owners. Now I'm as judgemental as the next person but I don't judge off of race I judge off character and respect. Now don't get me wrong these new owners were very helpful and respectful but the prices are a whole different story. Most of the blue sticker items are items that have been there for years like they have a 40 dollar dolly or hand truck with a blue tag price of 140 thats 70 bucks you can literally buy a way better brand new one from walmart for 50 bucks out the door. I'm a keep checking back on this store I still shop here I bought a nice tablet for my daughter for Xmas she loves it they did up the price only 10 bucks more lol but I do support local Businesses but if they don't change their prices I can definitely see them not sticking around for too much longer I know I'm not the only one who feels like this.”

“It's a small store so the selection is limited but the employees are very nice. It has a parking lot which is helpful, you don't have to pay a meter. Some unhoused individuals tend to hang around but they don't seem to be pushing, rude or threatening. It's a good spot to run in and grab a few items.”

“Saturday morning I decided to take my parents with me, 79-year-old mom and 78-year-old pops so Mom needed to go use the restroom because we had driven 45 minutes away from home I asked the security there if there was a restroom my mother could use and he said it was closed at the time which was after 10:00 a.m. this is not the first time we have asked because the previous times they have been closed also other customers have also asked and the times I've been there they don't allow anybody in their restrooms I don't know why,,, ???my mother was very upset saying that all department stores should have a restroom for their customers so there I went to go walk mamma who walks very slow,, and can barely see ,,, to (John long silver's ) that was fun! It was like walking from California to south of the border,, which that was across from DD's I understand people make messes in restrooms and there's people that grateful for having one,so hopefully next time we go there's one available,,other than that I love ur stores and prices and the most important thing( WELCOME TO DD's)”

“This is my first time shopping in any of the Dollar General stores. I am impressed with the layout, the customer service, and the items they carried in the store. The store looks well stocks! This is the first thing that comes to my mind when I enter the store. All the shelves are full of many good-looking merchandise. The stuff they have is good quality and new. I found more items here I want compared to Dollar Tree stores or the 99-Cents Only stores. The employees are helpful and pleasant here. They're willing to help if you have questions. This is a discounted store without discounted the services.”

“On the way home to Grass Valley, I got off the freeway to find a gas station, but before a found a one, I spotted a Grocery Outlet, so I decided to grab a few items. Walking toward the entrance, there was a gentleman (I found out later it was, Freddie, the Manager of this store) who was standing outside who pleasantly greeted me... what a bright spot in what had been a grueling few days of challenges and record high temperatures... 100 degrees in October.
Walking into this particular store, I was blown away by the well stocked, organized shelves and an array of items to choose from. In addition, a vast selection of higher-end and unique items not available at the Grocery Outlet, I normally shop. Then I checked out the prices... they were significantly less on items I regularly purchase and on many other items, priced so fairly, I couldn't pass up!
As I shopped the manager, Freddie, asked how it was going, if I needed help finding anything... etc. He also asked if would fill him in on my experience and any other feedback I could share... (I had mentioned that I'd never shopped in this store, when I met him outside).
At the register the cashier, Vivian was great, she was super efficient and friendly. I paid for groceries with EBT, all was going well... then I tried to pay the balance using my Venmo account, via Apple Wallet... the Venmo account, which had ample funds available, was declined... then, several more attempts, same thing happened... declined.
The debacle which ensued, taking well over an hour was finally resolved, due to the efforts of Neal, who came to my rescue. He was patient, thorough and tried various methods to resolve the Venmo problem. He even went out of his way to charge my phone that died right in the middle of the process. If it weren't for Neal's consideration and assistance I don't know what I would have done. I have never been treated so kindly by an employee at any grocery store, especially when there's been a glitch with an electronic funds issue...it happens, but sometimes by no fault of the customer's. It was heartening to be respected and listened to. The glitch was figured out and resolved thanks to Neal's help... Later, I found out he's the son of, Freddie, the store manager. Like father, like son. Thank you to the staff at Grocery Outlet that made my impromptu stop one I'll not soon forget. I only wish this store was closer to where I live. With much gratitude... “Today I went to pick up some items and of course some things that I didn't know I needed? I always find what I need at this store and am well taken care of by your (now) phenomenal staff, one of which was January who was busy working 2 different registers- she certainly has some of the best customer service skills I have seen in a while. She was busy but not rattled, smiled and greeted every customer in line. I came in found what I wanted and left with a great experiance with January at the helm. Thank you to whoever hired this young lady- she is definitely management material!!!”

“Took a trip to our local Dollar 25 store to get a few items. Of course my son put more items in the basket than what we went there for. The lady at the register (can't remember her name) had great conversation, was efficient, and even complimented my cute little boy. Made his rough day he had at school end abruptly. On top of this beyond great experience, Dutch Bros is in the same parking lot so milkshake date it is!! 8/10 ✨ at this location!! Great job Dollar Tree Citrus Heights Staff.”
