Best store in the world. Great prices. Great selection of merchandise. The store is always very clean. The people that work there are super friendly and helpful. The lighting in the store and around the store is phenomenal, I need their electricians #, lol. great family owned establishment. p.s. Norma's cooking is really good too. fast and hot.

Decent selection, good hours of operation and friendly owners/staff. Haven't tried the Mexican restaurant yet, no review in that business. Parking is ample..usps box in front is helpful.

Val-Mar Market is the typical inner city grocery selling snacks, beer, wine, lotto tics, milk. really big store. no parking lot. street parking is good on one side, poor on the other. the taqueria (Norm's) in the rear wasn't open... brew: Modelo chelada, 24 oz, 3.5%, lemon y sal (3.5) -strong lemon, salt taste, not much brew taste -many in the chelada series has been disappointing. few micro brews seen, probably doesn't sell in this area.

I love this store! The guys who work here are always friendly, respectful, pleasant and helpful. I shop here about 3-5 times per week for the past 2 years and have NEVER had one bad experience. They are the best convenience store in Richmond. If you are looking for a place to shop for beer, snacks, cigarettes, lotto tickets and even groceries, give these guys a visit. You will be glad you did! Their prices are reasonable, too. Groceries, dairy, canned and packaged foods are always current, never outdated (like Safeway). There is also Mexican food, made to order for takeout available in the back of the store (separate purchase).

They do their best to keep customers happy and coming back...business phone calls are horrible, can't reach anyone in the main store but at the deli, you can be sure she will answer or call back quickly... the main store has its own. Smdh!!!!!. The Deli is worth the trip.... she is not only fast but the food is fresh and she is sweet. I see oG's coming in all the time. (The regulars). Very good food.

They have basically everything you will need for a grocery with great price. The people working here are helpful. It is located at barrett near to my house so this store is a life saver for me. 😬
